Oops!

I cheated, not one day but 2 days in a row!

Today I learned a lesson, junk food sends me into a downward spiral.

Tomorrow is a new day and I will be right back on plan! Already defrosting my chicken and planning my meals.

I stepped on the scale and its up like 4 lbs. No way did I eat THAT much! Really, only like 1k calories over my plan. Thanks to reading this board I know its water from too much salt and junk!

I do not feel guilty, I feel empowered. I will succeed!

Good for you for getting back on that wagon. Junk food is no good for me either and I learned that the hard way.

Razorcandy 05-10-2009 12:20 AM

Thank you.

I've been tracking my food the past week and it's made such a difference, not only because I have to write down when I've been bad, but because I've noticed patterns.

If I sleep in and don't have breakfast, I eat on average 600 calories more that day than if I get up earlier and have a breakfast.

Planning what you're going to eat today really makes the difference too. I don't ever want to get to 6pm and be like 'oh, I don't know what to have for tea'. I need to know because it makes me less open to temptation.

Keep going, it'll be worth it in the end!

Good for YOU!!! You WILL succeed because you've picked yourself back up from some poor food choices and are moving ahead.
Please keep in mind that our "normal-weighted" friends who have never faced a weight issue OFTEN do this. The difference is that they recognize their transgression and restrict a bit afterwards so that they can maintain their weight.
You are doing exactly what has to be done!

that is the attitude to have. so often people have fallen off the wagon and then felt bad about it and get down on themselves for it. hey we are all human and make mistakes and it takes more than one try to get it right. that's life. pick yourself up and don't look back at what you did but look forward to what you are going to do instead.

So, how did today go?

Yep - give us an update!

What distinguishes the maintainers, in large part, is the "get right back on plan" philosophy. No one is 100% OP all of the time...period. But learning from your slip ups, and then getting right back on plan, is KEY to success.
