  • I was thinking about how my life would change,once I was at or close to goal.
    The only thing I could think of it will be easier to move around. It will also be more fun buying clothes.
  • I'll probably want to get out of the house more, go dancing, things like that. I'll also be more willing to visit friends who haven't seen me in forever. The weight laid a blow to my self-esteem. I rationalized it for years, but I always knew it had an effect.
  • Way more fun buying clothes, that's for sure. I'm hoping to come away this time with a much healthier diet that I follow for the rest of my life. something that will help me stay healthy and happy. Been reading Fr. Dean Ornish's tips and following them religiously...and have felt better in the past two weeks than in a very long time.
  • My life will be fun with buying new clothes, looking & knowing I'm rockin when I go to concerts and feeling strong and fit and in great shape. I won't be afraid to try new things and my reward when I get to my ultimate goal weight is to cut my hair real short and go platinum blonde for a few months! Just cuz I want to!
  • I'm already a big girl fashionista, I can't wait to fit into smaller clothes. I think I want a shopping trip to NYC! I will probably learn how to ballroom dance or at least do the tango. I can't wait to be at goal!
  • I'll love to go clothes shopping again. I'll love being able to do more things with my kids...like water parks, public pools, & boating.
  • I don't know about change, because even at my current weight I'm quite happy with where I am. However, I think the perks---of being at my goal--- will be a great change of pace for me. The clothes and a bikini for crying out loud.
  • I will feel more secure to have a social life.

    I will visit old friends.

    I will shop!

    I will stay healthy!
  • I think the biggest emotional change for me will be the confidence factor... but that also has to come with some serious introspective work as well. Before, even at 130 lbs, I still saw myself as fat and worthless, so this whole journey is a step towards positive self image as well.

    The biggest change, period, will be the amount of exercise I partake in daily. That change has already happened! I'm working on making it a habit, not a "have to."
  • I'm looking forward to spending a lot more time being active, not needing to ask other people to do strength-related stuff for me, and being less stressed. Funny, I'm getting a very good start on all that just by working TOWARD this goal!
  • I will be so much happier at 110, I will finally feel attractive and free! And most important; I will finally be who I really am, my body will match my soul.
  • The biggest changes for me have been:

    * Confidence
    * Energy
    * Loving loving loving to see pictures of myself instead of hiding from the camera
    * Easier to cut my toenails
    * Towels wrap all the way around me
    * Shopping! I have a closet full of awesome size 6 clothes. I used to buy things "just because they looked okay" I had to stop doing that, because everything started looking okay! Now I just buy what I really really love, I can be picky! I had to replace my entire wardrobe (except for socks), it was quite an enjoyable adventure
  • I definitely expect clothes to be more fun, and I look forward to being able to fit in small places, like restaurants that have the tables too close together. In my line of work, there's small places to fit into sometimes and I'd like to have the option of being able to do those jobs.
  • Well, for me:
    - Shopping for clothes is WAY more fun, even bathing suits!!
    - I have far more energy than I used to and active pursuits are so much easier now. Being active has become a part of who I am. I am an "athlete", who'd have ever thought?!
    - I'm not afraid to try new things, I have lots more confidence in myself and my physical abilities and I'm happier overall.
    - My thighs don't rub together, I can wear skirts and sandals and no hose! And be cool and comfortable!!
  • - I will be more confident
    - I will enjoy buying clothes more
    - I will be able to wear shirts and shorts and not get a rash between my thighs from them rubbing together
    - I will feel sexier
    - I will have more energy
    - I will enjoy the beach more
