Jeannette-So sorry that it was bad. Keep going!

EZMONEY-Awww.. it happens to the best of us and believe me you are one of the best of us.

Well I started my online PE walking class today after having some problems and finally having to email the professor and got to look at it online and uhh it is a bit more than what I was expecting. I had to buy a textbook and everything. I will have written tests online and reading assignments from what I understand. Plus I have to walk so much to earn certain points per week which I have to have 22 per week. He gave a chart and everything assigning points to each mile. I figured out the best way for me to hit those points for sure every week is to walk 4 miles everyday. I will be having to split up that in half though do 2 miles in the morning and then two miles at night. There's no way right now I could do 4 all at once and not be going straight to bed afterwards for a long nap. I might surprise myself though hopefully. :-) I sure have this year at times. Today I had two chili dogs and uhh I was a bit grossed out. I'm not sure why. Perhaps I've just lost the taste for regular hot dogs. I either usually buy kosher hot dogs or turkey or something a bit healthier and usually more expensive than what my husband got. The chili was canned Wolf turkey chili and that was OK. I was more grossed out by the hot dog for some reason. Oh well.. That's kind of a victory for me is how I am going to consider it. One more unhealthy thing that I'm not fond of anymore. Anyways TOM is on its way and I'm not feeling too well lower back wise and I'm a little ticked at Eve right now and her eating that apple. :-) I've had back pain for the past month due to all the problems I've had with that UTI and kidney infection that wouldn't go away and have only been pain free for a few days finally and now I'm right back where I started due to cramping. So I'm a bit cranky again. Anyways have a great afternoon! I need to go get a pedometer now.

TOM is passing through and I'm hoping it takes some pounds away. Nothing to speak of yet though. 190.4 today. I am researching plateaus and setpoints, searching for some answers. I haven't really figured anything out yet. Still need to workout today. Will have to be inside because it is really nasty outside.

I have had some really sucky jobs....the worst ever was sanding kitchen cabinets--with no air conditioning--in the summer the dust from the sanding would turn my white bras a dingy color--I actually had to go take a showere and change clothes BEFORE I could pick my son up form the babysitters--it paid insurance though--worked it for a little less than a year and put in as many applications at other places as I could....something will come along...

blondebrit--I don't blame Eve...I always say that if Adam had been beside her..they could have overcame the apple temptation together...but then it had to happen..so....why do we get the curse....sorry Gary...
....since I passed 40, TOM is getting downright mean....

mtiger--hope you had a great workout!!

well off to bed...

Thanks for the support gals. I did much better today...Total cereal for breakfast with orange juice and a piece of whole wheat toast ~ Healthy Request Chicken Noodle soup with a turkey sandwich ~ dinner was burritos ~ beer will be kept to a minimum (for me!).

SUPER J ~ Life will turn around for you! Just like it did with your confusion on your illness.

JULES ~ You will succeed! With that new mp3 or i-pod of course!

MINDY ~ Not a fun way to start vacation.

BRAT ~ You really need to try and get those 4 miles in....the more you do it the easier it will become! In no time that will only be an hours worth of exercise!

DUTCHGIRL ~ Some follow their men to the Alps...I never leave my gals! Of course I will be here!

BOBBLEFROG ~Did the tornadoes in your area come close to you?

MRSAUGIE and IRIS

Well, Hello Everyone
Long time no see to a lot of you

I realize I'm a bit late joining the Magic Bologna Pill--(hey, that's what I feed my cat whenever she has meds from the vet!)--Seeing as we're 33 pages in, but I hope I can join back!

I had my 3 month post-surgery check-up last week, and everything's looking good! (Except that I gained 15 lbs... but that's something I can fix!) So I'm breathing a sigh of relief and taking this 3 months (before my next doctor visit) to lose some of the weight I gained after surgery.
I also started work again: With GUSTO! I overworked myself a bit, but now things are mellowing out, and I'm catching a good stride with all of my jobs (and the stride will only get better with Summer coming up and school getting out!)

Anyhoo- I won't make this super long, but I just want to say that I'm glad to be back!!!

P.S. Mindy-- AWESOME job!!! I love your Mini-Goal thread!

Jinksie--we let Gary explain the thread title...but it is a very supportive thread if you need it

weegteenlassie--welcome back!!

Gary--I am going to try the c25k so I am going to break down and get an mp3 player or i-pod--still deciding--will go get something this weekend to download the podcasts...there's a 5k I'd like to do in September even if I walk it and then next spring the goal is a half marathon with a friend I graduated with...

well--it rained so the grass isn't getting mowed....I am just going to do a workout dvd tonight....

Well I woke up after sleeping 11 hours last night and woke up feeling like I had been hit by a small vehicle or something. I went back to bed after about three hours of being up and had another 90 minute nap and it helped some but not much. My husband then texted me and told me the specialist called him and rescheduled my appointment that I have tomorrow to next Wednesday now due to a personal family emergency. He relayed that I'm to get as much rest and no strenous activities and continue monitoring my temperature every hour. I'm a bit concerned about the PE class since I woke up feeling this way despite me resting/sleeping a lot and napping every day since last Friday. Usually I start perking up and feeling like my old self after two days of plenty of rest and napping but not this time I haven't. The only thing I can think of that's different is that I am now running a constant low grade fever. So I'm thinking of dropping the class although I really don't want to but I'd like to have a good grade in it and right now my efforts I don't think would be equal to me getting above a C and I need more As and Bs now. My pedometer came in today and it's really shiny ha and cool and has a lot of features to it and I wish I had gotten it sooner. I was thinking I'd do my own PE class :-) but just start out with a mile and work my way up really slowly on the days I do feel up to walking like how I've already been doing it and re-take the class later on when I have the all-clear and after I've talked to my doctor about this class specifically. Today I'm just really discouraged since I woke up feeling so badly despite me having 5 straight days now of nothing but rest. have a good night!

well that week off last week killed me. i think i gained 3 pounds but now that i am back at work i hope that i can at least get back down to where i was down to on friday. actually now that i think about it the weekend is what really killed me and i do not know why. the only thing i think i really did not do whole heartedly over the week and weekend was the exercising and i know that i was doing the dreaded boredom eating. that i know is one of my problems and i have gotten better at it but not good and i still strugglw with that.

My friend and I did our practice 5k today. 44 min. Not too bad. We are resting on Friday so we have lots of energy on Sat. I splurged on Chinese last night so the scale was up a bit, 189. I really want to see 187, 186.....185????

Wee- Glad to see you back. Time to get back on the band wagon and shake off those extra pounds.

mtiger--wtg on the 44 minute 5K, I am planning to do a local one in September--hope I am up for it!!!

MrsAugie--I actually do better at work since the tempting candy jar at my coworkers desk has been retired.....my coworkers are all pretty healthy 60 and over year olds...the new "girl" is my age at 42, I am 43 and one of the temps is 34 and the other will be 80!! She works circles around the rest of us...she is still sharp, types like 75 words plus with very few mistakes, drives 10 - 12 hours to go see kids, grand kids & great grandkids, last week she picked strawberries, froze them, made us two pies.....I want to be just like her when I grow up!!

blodebritbrat--hope you can start feeling better soon!

hi to anyone lurking!!

that is what i call the bait pile. and i do have one of those at work too. to day it was not that bad though since if i wanted any candy i had to walk to the opposite end of the department. any way i sit around the house with nothing to do so i eat. normally i can resist the bait pile since most of the time-- there is nothing i really have to have.

Gary- We gotcha covered. Don't work too hard.

Jules- Make sure you do that 5k. It is rewarding just to do it and say you completed it. My time is not a big deal. I could do it faster but I'm doing it with a friend and I told her I would stick with her.

I saw a new low today, 187.8. Hope things keep going in that direction. I have to catch up to Gary ya know.
