Hi Gals ~

MINDY Angie's last day is next friday....not sure about my son and dil but I do know ALL are ready!!

SUPER J that is super! Finally a reason for feeling so bad that is not (?) that bad, from what I just wikipedia'd

BRAT I am sure you are next to find out what is wrong! This has just gone on too long dear. Prayers!

MRSAUGIE Sounds like you have been busy!

JULES are you MIA?

BOBBLEFROG have fun at the party!

IRIS good to see you back. I hope the trip cross country went well.

DUTCHGIRL why to go! Getting up early to run is not easy!

LOWANDFAT bbq's can be tough!

Well TEAM

I am hanging in there on the weight....nothing great to report but I have been down 2 pounds for 2 days, not braggin' about that since I got up to 184 for around 4 days last week. Seriously I don't feel like I am doing so bad with my eating...and that beer (except for a couple of days) has been less.

Taking a night off from painting at my son's house, I probably will go over on Saturday and pretty well knock all the painting out except for some touch-up.

Days at work have been hard, we are under a lot of pressure on the dealership we are on, they really want to get opened to sell some Lexus's before summer is over...I don't think we will finish in the time frame they want but that is not my problem....other than my boss will have us on OT which we didn't really want to do. We wanted the job to take us through summer since it is only 15 minutes from my house!

It's a hard knock life TEAM.....FIGHT ON!

Thanks, you guys! I feel like there's finally a reason why I can't lose...I've been GAINING, even after I stopped eating crap and was running etc. And now maybe I'll have energy and be happier again. The doc doesn't think that the depression is brought on by the thyroid issues, but that nearly everything else is a symptom of the thyroid thing. The only bad thing is that I will be on my thyroid meds for the rest of my life. Oh well! $4 a month at Walmart!!!!

Jeanette - isn't it wonderful to at least have clarity on what's been causing the weight stuff? Now you can move forward, and you'll probably find that you will be feeling a lot more energetic on the thyroid meds. Great!

Blond - I hope you get some answers about your health issues soon too.

Iris is back!! We missed you.

MrsAugie - Don't let the stumps stump you! You can always ask Operator to blow'm up for you

Mtiger - You could try putting random numbers on the wall and throwing darts at them? that must be sooo frustrating. At least when school is out you'll be able to get some more sleep.

Gary - there are still people who can afford to buy Lexus's? Wow! The weight will start to happen for you again, just stay smart on the intake!

I was sooo tired last night but after hanging a load of laundry and having a chat with the BF I seemed do catch my second wind - and had a crud night sleep because I just couldn't shut my brain up. And I worked my behind off today - so much work, so little time. I want my desk cleared because I am heading to my BF on Friday ( he lives in another country) and I will be there for the best part of next week.
He has a tumor that will be removed on Tuesday. It is cancer, but not a very agressive type and it is not major surgery. Still, it is and has been a concern for a while now and I am glad he is getting it taken care of. And of course I want to be there with him. So my presence here may be somewhat intermittent the coming week.

Morning Team!

Super J - It is GREAT to hear you have AN ANSWER! I looked into that a little when I was having those weird things going on (and still am not sure I am not a little "hypo") and it does look to be immensely treatable. Do ask and research the difference between the synth and natural form. I've heard some women don't respond to the synth as well as the other. Maybe you can get off the depressant meds when you feel you are in control of your life again. GOOD FOR YOU FOR TACKLING THIS HEAD ON!

Kitty will be on her hypER meds the rest of life too - twice a day. So she commiserates with you :-)

Well I was BAD yesterday - TWO cupcakes, way too much pizza, ice cream and at some point after lunch (which I ate) I felt so hungry I made the BF stop and get a hamburger. I only had half but that was still, according to the nutritional data 330 calories. Love Carls Jr, but man! In all I had almost 3000 calories yesterday - 500 more than I burned (did lots of errands) . I think this is the first day since I started back at the end of March that I ate more than I burned. GULP! GULP! GULP!

I feel amazingly okay about it all today though - back OP and there should be no more "obstacles" til our trip back east. Which that too, I am not too worried about. So back to work!!!

Super J- I am so glad you have an answer! I hope you start feeling better.

Thanks all to those who have such supportive comments. I really appreciate them. Forgive me but I cannot remember who said what right now since I am so tired so I'll just blather on. Someone posted about holistic/alternative treatment. As soon as I have a diagnosis I will look into that and definitely do my research and find a dr I am comfy with since that is so important as well. I have not heard back from my doctor who was supposed to make the specialist appointment for me and I tried to call them today but I forgot they are closed on Wednesdays now. So I'll be calling them tomorrow to ask what's going on with the appointment process since they never emailed me an appointment time or anything. I did have a better day yesterday. We had a pizza party and I had a parent to come and participate. I really think she was sent to me from God since she just came on the spur of the moment. Turns out she has to go to an infectious disease specialist too on a regular basis because she was diagnosed finally 4 years ago with Rheumatoid Arthritis and she felt as if no one believed her since it took a couple of months for her to be diagnosed too as well which is exactly how I'm feeling now. So she gave me a lot of tips and helped me understand more of what that type of specialist does and assured me if it was auto immune that a lot of them are able to be managed with medications. I think now some people are realizing that I am sick both at work and both in my personal life to say the least. So that's a relief too in a way.

I hope all is well with everyone keep up the work! Have a good night.

J and Brit- Glad you are getting some clarity as to your medical situations. I think I am going to make a visit to my doc for a little heart to heart. I would like to have hormones tested and see if they are all out of whack, and if so, what plan of action to take.

gary- Don't work too hard. I hear it leads to random beer consumption.

Dutch- that is a good idea. I'll have to invest in some darts. Good luck with the BF. Sounds like things will be okay, but still stressful.

Bobble- Did you enjoy that binge??? I had 2 bites of a cupcake today. Hey, it's next to the last day of school. Live a "little".

Need to work out still. We had 5th grade recognition tonight. That is one big stressor off my plate. I get so nervous about things like that, especially when I have to speak.

HI TEAM ~

Well I gained back that pound I lost...life is a roller coaster isn't it?

Normally I wouldn't complain about one stinkin' pound except it just adds to the other 8 stinkin' pounds I am over my red line!

Life is good....why?

SUPER J is on her way to a new way of life she can control for $4 a month

MINDY Ate a 5th grader tonight...or at least got them off her plate (Angie will tie-dye 35 6th grader shirts tonight, after yoga, for game day)

BRAT has met someone that may help her in her quest for health

MRSAUGIE knows the importance of a walk for her health and marriage

BOBBLEFROG has a great attitude for the future!

DUTCHGIRL is able to be with BF when he needs her most.

IRIS is back.

It's a HARD KNOCK life....but LIFE is GOOD

Thanks, everyone!

These meds make me feel a little off...I'm supposed to be used to it in about 2 weeks. And eating makes me nauseous. lol. I eat my biggest meal in the afternoon and that helps my belly. I hope I feel well enough to work out soon. I'm still really tired.

Blonde, I am so glad you found someone to help you!

I'm falling asleep at my desk. I hope everyone is well.

Argh I hate when I write a whole post and hit the wrong key and it takes me out of the screen so I lose it all! Lets try this again...

Super J - Hugs with that new medicine. I hear it will be worth it to get your life back though. Salem is still cranky and nauseous - but is eating and seems slightly more interested in life again. She sends her sympathy.

EZ - hey coach - you can do THIS! Eight pounds is nothing for a guy like you. I bet you can do it by Independence Day! Just cut the baloney out!!! We're with you all the way - don't forget you are our fearless leader...

mrsaugie - How in the world do you do it? All that keeping up chores AND trotting around after the kiddo. YOU ARE AMAZON WOMAN!

mtiger - taking off with EZ's little joke...so, hmm, how many calories are in a fifth grader? And are they palateable without frosting...! LOL

blonde - Good for you for taking charge and following up on your doctors - and I'm so glad you have had some encouragement. How do you all have families and keep going? I really have to take my hat off to you all!

dutch - and my thoughts this week are certainly with you and your BF. Stay positive! Hugs...

Not much to report here - the exercise room is open again I think so should be starting that again tonight. It was a little hard staying OP yesterday and today, too - I am really hungry. That said, though it is less than a month to go now before we head on our trip back East. I am so excited...already have the suitcase out! That gives me something tangible to distract me and to motivate me through the next weeks.

Thank you bobble and Salem!!! <3

Time to go to job number 2. I've had 1100 cals today and drinking a ginger ale for my belly. I'm still 201 (grrr) but I'm trying not to care too much til I'm used to these meds. Two weeks of feeling sluggish and I should be okay then. Yay!

Well 5th graders are more calories than thy're worth. I can tell you that. Now that I have shed 25 of them I am looking for the relief on the scale. I really could have used some of the frosting to sweeten the deal.

Gary- I am in the front seat of the coaster with my hands held high, screaming for help. I'm there with ya!!!

Mrsaugie- I'm tired now from reading your post.

J- Give it time. It will all work out.

Bobble- Get in there and make good use of that exercise room.

Almost finished my duties at school. I needed about 45 min. to finish up when they kicked us out. Have to go in tomorrow to finish up. It should be quick. Looking for TOM to arrive and hopefully a few pounds of relief.

Today was one of the worst eating days I've had in a long time. Went to lunch....mexican. Even the lunch burrito was huge. I ate a little more than 1/2. Then went to pizza buffet for my nieces bday. Yes, pizza buffet. 3 thin slices, 2 small breadsticks and a brownie. HMM???? What do I expect tomorrow??? All I needed was a 6 pack to wash it down, right Gary??

Well it was a real chore getting to the exercise room yesterday - we had "campers". Finally got in around 8:15 when I was just about ready to give up. I'm a go-to-bed-at-9 kinda girl. It was hot as usual but felt good to be back working out. Didn't lose too much - was about where I was in terms of weight and reps. Oh and duh, realized that there are different settings on the stairmaster. I was doing some kind of "quick start" and I suspect it gives you the "climbing" resistance. I did something different last night (pushed some other button) and it gave me a choice. I chose "pace" and was able to do the three minutes without feeling like I was going to die. SO! Maybe seeing all those girls do 20-30 minutes at the gym has nothing to do with me being out of shape as much as that they aren't working as hard? Who knows. But it made me feel a little better.

mtiger -

Didn't do my usual walk this morning as things were a little crazy around here (BF got up unusually early for a kundalini yoga class) but will make it up this afternoon. And I'm SO FREAKIN HUNGRY. I had my usual pnutbutter toast (2 slices) and banana for bfast, it's not even 11 and my stomach is going RRRWWWORRRYYYRRRRR. I need distraction!
