Cambridge Diet or LL - Has anyone Maintained???????????

  • Hello Everyone,

Im 25 years old and currently weigh about 14 stone. Im 5'7 so Im about 4 1/2 stone above what I would ideally like to weigh.

Just over a year & 1/2 ago I tried the cambridge diet and stuck with it (with the occasional cheat) from August - November... I lost 4 & 1/2 stone. In the following year I quickly regained my excess fat (due to not following the maintenance phase and failing to make any lifestyle changes).

I celebrated my 25th birthday a few weeks ago and have decided to give CD another shot - I dont want to waste years trying to lose the fat Ive accumulated, I want to make the most of what is left of my youth!!!!!

I know that cambridge diet works, and I know I can stick to it. I would like to hear from anyone that has followed a VLCD and maintained their weight loss, or anyone that they know of who has done this. Knowing that it is possible to keep the weight off once it has been lost will really give me peace of mind as I know that I have learnt my lesson and will follow maintenance this time round!!!!

Apologies for the long winded post - wanted to give you some background!!! Any feedback would be appreciated.

  • You can check in the Maintainer's Forum. Of all the people that post there, I can only think of one person who started on a VLCD and is now maintaining their weight loss.
  • What Is Vlcd?

Edit: Nevermind just looked it up. I did one once the Dr B diet where they administerd B12 shots and weighed thrice a week. I failed miserably personaly. I lost like 36 pounds in like two months and gained even more unfortunately. Not that the diet didn't work it was just unrealistic for me to be able to maintain even with the maintanence phase. Good lUCk
  • Very low calorie diet.
