The scale is NOT MOVING

  • I am sooooo frustrated....I am in my third week of WW and the scale has stopped moving...the first week, I lost 6 pounds...the 2nd week, I lost 1 pound...and now I keep weighing myself in the morning AND ITS NOT MOVING...

I am working out for 40 minutes 5 times a week and keeping it down to 1900 calories...

    My question is...should I lower my calories...i am 5'10 and 248 pounds...what should I be eating??
  • Oh I so hear you.
So I'll tell you what they've told me: just keep doing what you're doing, and your fat will eventually admit defeat and leave you.

Congratulations on 7 pounds in 2 weeks. Your weight will start dropping again. Honestly. Honestly.
  • I think 7 pounds in 2 weeks is awesome! You're only in your 3rd week, so I wouldn't adjust calories yet - stick with it for a bit & see what happens. I find that I will often not see any scale motion for a while, then drop 3-4 pounds all at once, then go through another period of no motion.
  • I agree- keep at it, it's only week three. Don't weigh yourself daily if you are getting discouraged- I used to do that and finally stopped cuz it'd make me feel like whats the point?!
  • Thanks ladies...this weight loss thing can make a girl go crazy!!!
  • Weight loss is crazy -- it's NOT linear. It's perfectly natural for you to NOT lose weight every week, even if you're doing all the right things.

So, don't change anything. Except for the constant weighing! Just relax (I know that's hard!)
  • I'm confused--you say you're on your third week of WW? Does that mean Weight Watchers? If so, why are you counting calories? I must not know what you mean by WW... Because you wouldn't be asking us what you should be eating if you're doing that program...
