Today was a birthday milestone for me (the big 3-0
) and my mother surprised me when after picking me up after an errand, she drove me to my neighborhood's 24 hr fitness gym and paid the initial fees for a membership for me there 
(*I'll be responsible for paying monthly fees afterward, but they are pretty dang cheap: 27 bucks a month and I can cancel anytime.)
I also got 6 paid sessions with a personal trainer to use anytime for the next 6 months!
I'm happy because now I have more cardio & resistance training options which can help me keep going and make it easier to avoid (or get over) a plateau! I was beginning to get a bit worried, but this 24 hr membership thing is perfect timing for my remaining 56 lbs left to lose!
If this was five years ago when I was still majorly overweight, I would have taken the membership, sighed, and cancel the membership after a couple of months. Now, I'm like giddy as this is one of the c.o.o.l.e.s.t. presents I could have gotten!
Sure shows what a 180-degree turn I've done in my views of exercise/weight-loss!
