My Pink Scrub Pants

Spring is here but I have a problem with two pairs of my uniform pants. You know ... the nice spring coloured ones? They fit and I can move in them but they just don't look right.

I think that two weeks of diligence ought to fix that. What do you think? Ya think in two weeks we can make a difference. Bet you have some spring/summer things that'd fit better too????

rachinma 03-13-2009 04:13 PM

Pink is evil. Do they make black scrubs? ;)

srmb60 03-13-2009 04:16 PM

It just so happens I bought some black ones today. Capris for the warmer weather!

Su-Bee 03-13-2009 04:38 PM

I am just a few pounds away from being into my smallest jeans...I can get them on & zipped, but they are skintight right now, & give me a bit of a muffin-top.

Slashnl 03-13-2009 05:18 PM

Susan, you can do a couple of good on-plan weeks and I'll bet they will be fine.

EZMONEY 03-13-2009 06:56 PM

:coach: WHAT IS THE MATTER WITH YOU WOMAN?

Get your butt in my 5K....those :bunny2: SPRING colors will look just right on you....:easter:

srmb60 03-14-2009 05:26 AM

I didn't even know we had that painting bunny. Isn't that cute?

I am sooo not ready to try running again. However ... I did get a nice low (relatively) weight on the scale this morning. That's encouraging.

Today, I must be careful with work food. What I take in my lunch bag should be enough!!!

yeah my pink scrubs don't fit me like they used to either! :D

kestrel 03-15-2009 01:17 AM

I have absolutely no spring clothes that fit, because they're all way to big now! :carrot: Even the old ones in the back of the drawer that I've been hanging on to for whenever the "baby weight" (yeah, from all 3 kids) was gone are too big too, I can't believe how excited that makes me. We still have a while before I'll need shorts here in WA, but I'm actually looking forward to the shopping trip which is a huge change for me. And this year maybe I'll actually buy some shorts too, instead of just wearing the capris because I didn't want my legs to show.

Enjoying clothes shopping. *shakes head* It's been about 14 years since trying on clothes has been enjoyable, I'm glad to be there again.

Oh Kestrel! What a wonderful problem! There should be wonderful sales this year. You go buy yourself some nice new small spring things. And congratulations on needing them.

I made the Chinese food mistake yesterday for supper. I only ate what I had in my lunch bag but by suppertime I was tired and grouchy ... It's never a problem to convince my family to order out. I just should have chosen better.
Even my nose feels puffy! More water ...

Slashnl 03-15-2009 11:07 AM

Boy, Susan, I can relate to that. I love Chinese food, but it just makes me feel so puffy! I have to make really good choices with it, but it still takes me a couple of recovery days.

blackbutterfly 03-15-2009 12:42 PM

I love pink! so good luck !! I think you can do it.. As for myself.. I just bought my first pair of shorts in like 10 years I think? They are a bit snug on the upper thigh.. They are like short shorts.. I didn't want to buy them but my grandmother (who is my biggest cheerleader) on my wieght loss journey convinced me they looked good..

Hehe I think she secretly wanted to push me to look better in them!
So that's one of my many GOALS

fatmad 03-15-2009 10:54 PM

Susan B. I don't know what you mean, scrubs look crummy on everyone. I have never seen anyone really look good in them at all.
At least you get colour. I only where them when at the hospital and if I am wearing "nicer" clothes, or going into OR or something. They fit better now, (no more gapping at the ties) but that OR green is just gross.
(I swear I had a homebirth last time just to avoid that green.....)
but keep going so you can buy some lovely spring clothes like Kestrel, what a great reward she gets for the hard work....

kestrel 03-15-2009 10:57 PM

Fatmad, avoiding the lovely green gown was one of the side perks of my homebirths, too. I was issued a lovely "birthday suit" to wear instead. ;)

srmb60 03-16-2009 11:50 PM

I just realised (while I was reading this) that we pretty much call any uniform "scrubs" now. They come in many shapes and styles and great colours!

I did good today. Much better than the weekend. I may have flushed almost all of that oriental water retention!
