What is your weight loss fairy tale?

  • I just finished reading "Toxic Parents," and one of the exercises in it is to make up a fairy tale story about your childhood, one with a happy ending. I thought it would be an interesting exercise to apply to weight loss. Here's mine:

Once up on a time, there was a girl who lived in a castle that was attacked by monsters. She ran away from the monsters, but when she got back to the castle, it was in ruins! She decided to fix up the castle and add some defenses to keep the monsters away in the future. She knew it would be a lot of work, but she also liked that she could design the castle so that it would be just right for her.

What's your weight loss fairy tale?
  • Well ,my weight loss fairy tale is pretty serious one.
    Here we go.
Maria grew with obesity. The obesity had hurt all through all her childhood.Maria decides to show the world that she is never less to none. Determined to get her obesity out of her way she begins her weight loss desire with a stubborn workout. Finally Maria stands "Miss Universe" -just establishing the fact that "try, try until you succeed"

    Great Fairy tale .Isn't.

    Thanks
  • There once was a Beautiful Maiden named Courtney, She spent all her days dancing, drinking and making merry.. She ate whatever salty snacks and goodies she desired, and one day, an evil sorcerer cast a spell on the maiden.. For whatever reason or another and transformed the once beautiful maiden into someone grumpy and tired, who no longer wanted to dance and sing. All of the maidens bad habits like eating too many crisps and making too much merry with the Cider and lager began to catch up with her as well . She started putting on lots and lots of weight until even she did not recognize herself! So she banished all mirrors from her cottage, and packed away all of her fancy clothes, Gone were the days of short skirts to show off the once shapely legs, pretty underthings and corsets.. She did not want to even look at them let alone herself... She hid away from the whole village for years and years.. And preferred to stay on the computer to going out with friends.. Many people tried to tell her that she was still beautiful no matter what she looked like. It was the heart that mattered most of all didn't it? She did have some good times during these dark days mind you.. She married a handsome foreigner and she gave him two beautiful children. Oh.. the children were so very beautiful.. They were spirited and danced and played all the days long, Making the hallways of her cottage echo with laughter.. The laughter of the beautiful youth that she once possessed..

"Oh what to do?" thought the beautiful maiden..

Then one day she had enough
She had to break this spell.. She was coming upon her 30th year of life and wanted to live out her youth while she still had it.. She realized that it wasn't magic at all that transformed her into this person that even she did not recognize but, the sorcerer had taken away her self confidence.. But she also realized that this was only temporary.

She began with baby steps.. She bought some more clothing that made her feel beautiful again.. Albeit in larger sizes.. She started to paint her face again and gave up most of the cider and lager.

She took her children to the meadow and began to walk circles around them.. Miles and miles everyday.

She lived off natural things instead of the things the local baker sold in shops.
She gave up eating animals and opted for living off the land.

and then one day, she "woke up "
    in a sense..

    let me explain dear readers,

The maiden found a beautiful antique mirror that her beloved grandmother had given her what seemed like centuries ago..

and what she saw when she dared open her eyes astounded her.

    SHE GASPED..

and she recognized the beautiful maiden staring back at her! "It's me!" "It's me!"

    she sang merrily..

of course she knew that the beautiful maiden had been there.. deep down in there with her the whole time, she just had to .. "break the spell."
  • Awesome fairy tale
