I just finished reading "Toxic Parents," and one of the exercises in it is to make up a fairy tale story about your childhood, one with a happy ending. I thought it would be an interesting exercise to apply to weight loss. Here's mine:
Once up on a time, there was a girl who lived in a castle that was attacked by monsters. She ran away from the monsters, but when she got back to the castle, it was in ruins! She decided to fix up the castle and add some defenses to keep the monsters away in the future. She knew it would be a lot of work, but she also liked that she could design the castle so that it would be just right for her.
