jeans size.
usually about how many pounds is a jean size?? i really want to get from a size 12 to a 9 before i move in about 5 1/2 months.
how long did it take you to lose a jeans size?? |
In the upper sizes I think it's a bit more. I've lost 65 pounds and went from a 22 to a 16.
|
depending on where you lose the inches at during the weightloss, can be 10 to 20lbs per size
|
In that size, it should be roughly 10 pounds per size.
best of luck! |
I would say it should definately be do-able. I gained 24 pounds this past 5 months and it put me up about 2 pants sizes. I can fit in my 4's but prefer my 6's and 8's. I think the smaller the numbers, the less you have to lose to get into them. I lost 63 pounds and went from a tight 16 to a comfortable 4 (in most pants).
|
I went from a 12/14 to a 2/4 in 5 1/2 months with a weight loss of 50 pounds.
|
It really depends on the person, one girl is a size 16 and weighs 226 or so and i am a size 16 and weigh 190. It must depend on where a person carries their weight really. I'm more bootylicious when another girl at the same weight may be a size 14 and have a bigger chest....
|
I went from 221 to 213 and went from an 18 to 16- my 18s fit so loose now that I can't wear them cuz they are HUGE.
I have also been doing lower body weights and working out 3x a week- I think that's helped to tone my legs and bring me down a size faster :D |
i find sizes to be completely arbitrary. im 5'5 and weigh about 137 and can fit in a size 4, 6, 8, whatever. it depends on the store, the cut, and all of that. i dont bother to care what size my pants are as long as they fit me right and look good. in this way its hard to use sizes as a goal.
|
I think it definitely depends on your shape and height. I wear a size 18 and I'm at 265, I wore a size 10 when I weighed 170. I've been told (and I agree with this estimation) that I carry weight pretty evenly-- I'm big on top and on bottom and fairly hourglass-shaped when I'm at a decent weight. Also, like someone said, chest size will play a part. I'm...um...nicely endowed, I guess you'd say! So, my cup size doesn't change drastically with my weight.
I think your goal is probably doable in 5 1/2 months, good luck!! |
I always have a problem with jean sizes I can buy a 16 from one store in one kind of cut and they fit great and then go to a dif store dif brand and cut and I have to buy an 18 not easy to figure out i tell ya lol
|
thank you. i think i carry my weight pretty evenly through out my body, but my hips are naturally really wide, that's why i'm only going for a size 9 right now. also, my legs are very muscular b/c of all the sports i've played but i still do have fat on my thighs.
|
The problem with judging your progress with jean sizes is that two people who weighed the same can wear incredibly different pants depending on how muscular they are or where they carry their weight.
I'm 150 5'7 and wear a size 10 right now. I know girls who look way bigger than me but wear pants several sizes smaller. I have a big butt and thick thighs so I know that most likely I'll never get into something glamorous sounding like a size 6, but I'm okay with that. I LIKE being curvy and pair shaped, I would never trade my hip-to-waist ratio just so i could fit into a size that 'sounds' attractive. PS- I think it's hilarious that women will want to wear a certain size so badly they'll squeeze themselves into something clearly to small. Like the fact that your wearing a size 2 really matters when all you can see is muffin top! |
When I first began (in June) I thought I would never, ever leave a size 16. By September I was in a 12. By late October I was in a 10. I am now in an easy size 6 in 99% of brands. Working out has helped tremendously--running and 30DS.

thanks again for the replys. i like being curvy as well. :D my bust is normal size, my waist is a lil bit smaller, and my hip are big naturally. also my legs are very muscular, my calves have no fat on them. i'm very happy about that. i know i wantto get smaller, but i would never want to get rid of my curves, i LOVE them.
