no WAY I'm letting this baby die! WOOT WOO! :D
Hey I did one full hour on the elliptical machine at the YMCA this morning and then went on a 25 mile bike ride with my friend up and down hills and trails THEN .... when I got bored in the evening I went ANOTHER 60 minutes on the elliptical machine again from 9pm - 10pm right before the Y closed for the night. I amazed myself! LOL! 3 months ago when I started (Dec1) I couldn't go 15 minutes on the elliptical at the lowest setting it had without feeling like I was going to fall out! 45lbs lighter and 3 months of aerobic exercise (I workout every day) my stamina has tripled! It sure doesn't take long to build it back up you just have to get out there and DO IT! LOL! :carrot::carrot::carrot: |
Serious exercise there
flatiron - Kudos for some impressive time on the elliptical on top of a 25 mile bike ride.
You're a great example to remind folks that you don't have to lose all your weight before you begin some serious exercise. |

And yes I can do 2 hours on the elliptical (1 hour in the AM and 1 hour in the PM) but it is at a slow speed (slow but steady! LOL) but like I said 3 months ago I couldn't do 15 minutes without feeling like I was gonna pass out!! But the more I do and the more weight I lose the easier it is getting with each passing week. :carrot: |
WOW! I tried on a $200.00 dollar leather vest that I haven't been able to wear for 2 or 3 years because it was too tight and it is still too tight but it won't be long before I can wear it again because it is only about 2 inches too small now to close in the front!
I've got a LOT of clothes I haven't been able to wear because of my weight but hopefully soon! My regular uniforn that past few years has been sweats and t-shirts! LOL! :D |
Hey guys, I just found this thread and as one of the fellas on here I figured I would chime in with a hello! I started on this weight loss train in Jan 2008 and have since lost 180 pounds in that same 14.5 months, I started at 534 pounds and currently am 352 pounds and still going! my goal weight is 275 (265 really but initially it was 275 so I left it) so I have a ways to go to hit that number, I stand 6'5'' tall and have a large build, pretty cool to have a fellas thread here ;) check out my blog (in the sig) if you are interested to see how I did it, or feel free to shoot me a PM with questions.
keep on keepin on gentlemen. As Ever Me |

The way I look at it is ya get what ya put in, bust arse and guess what? you will have results, make excuses? and I would still be a 534 pound guy stuffing whole pizza's down my pie hole. You CAN do it anyone can as long as they stay honest with themselves and put in a good honest effort. good luck with your losses. As Ever Me |
Yup I can relate. A short time ago I could eat a whole pizza by myself with no problem.
I know now that the REAL secret about losing weight is you have to stick to it. No matter what just keep going. If I get down to 172.5lbs I TOO will be half the man I used to be. That is what I would need to be to have a normal BMI so it is possible. Hey maybe there needs to be another club here ... the Half a Man Club! LOL! :D |
Wow. I saw your blog and that's incredible! What an inspiration. Keep up the great progress.

Took my bike out for a spin today I think I scared 2 pound off me! I live in the city and cars were zooming by me like a foot away!
People rides bikes all over the place where I live but for some reason I just get so nervous! I am hoping as I ride more I'll get used to it. |
Just peeking in. I'm nosy. :)
