Thanks everyone<3 I'm back at 100% today. Thanks for all the kind words!

P.S. I went down a couple of lbs again and am now at 24 lbs loss since I got the scale:D

mariamherrera 01-17-2009 06:55 PM

Oh my gosh I know how bad the back pain cane be! My back has faithfully gone out me once a year since I was 17 and now I'm 26! it's horrible pain! It gets so bad for me I literally can't move! I can not even roll outta bed! my poor husband has to find a way to lift my 300lb body up! and walk me ot the bath room- I don't know how he's done it each time! but think of it this way! the more you loose the less pressure on your back! your back in going to feel so great once you've lost the weight! I'm hoping mine will too! and maybe it wont go out on me anymore!

Don't give up your part of a family now! All of us here at 3fc need you! Your part of our circle now and with out you it wont be complete!

I would def send you mom to store for good foods! I just burnt myself and have only been eating comfort foods- which is nothing but empty calories! I'm still staying with in my allowed range- but still I know I wasn't getting any nutritional value from the way I'd been eating the last 2 days! anyways I weighed in today and guess what I've lost 7 ounces that's almost a pound! in the last two days! LOL- go figure!

get some foods that might feel comfort like- but just with in your limit- and move what you can... even if it's just our arms.. lift weights- if you dont have weights use cans of soup and do arm exercises..sucking in your tummy and squeezing your butt cheeks together is another easy exercise you can do while just laying in bed... squeeze and hold for 10 seconds do 10 reps at a time..

Don't get discourages your doing great! and you give me inspiration because we started at about the same weight and we've lost about the same too! were in the same both! and were both young hot fat chicks who can dance good - and will dance better once were at goal..LOL

if you need to cry! CRY! some times it' helps! and then you can cry and then move on! don't deny yourself your feelings- you cant help how you feel- acknowledge them find a way to fix it and do it!

Beautiful Ace 01-17-2009 07:03 PM

Thanks marriam! I had me a good cry yesterday! And me and my mom are going to go shopping together so I can get my own groceries that will be mine, that way I can plan out what I'm going to eat and they wont eat my stuff so I will know exactly what to plan with. My aunt said I'm alloud to still use their meat and stuff so it's kind of nice of her. I guess she knew I was really hurt about it because I cried. And that I really want it.

Yeh we're pretty much going at the same pace huh?! That's cool :P It's a race. Maybe one day one of us will go on a road trip and we can go shake our junk together:P

This is true for me too! Wow, Beautiful Ace! Another loss. You have it going ON! :) I am so glad you are feeling better! :)

Beautiful Ace 01-17-2009 07:13 PM

Thanks thighs:) I like feeling better too, I'm not one who will intentionally be upset... you know the type, wallowing in self pitty. I used to do that a lot as a kid and young teen but now, I hate it. I try to be as happy as I can all the time. People at my school always say I'm the happiest person they know. lol

I still live at home with my folks, and it's not always easy to find exactly what I'm looking for as far as food - especially snacks.I can usually handle whatever they're having for dinner in smaller portions, but I make a point to go out and buy snacks that are better choices for me. I don't know if that's possible for you or not, but it might be worth your while to invest in some specialty food of your own.

Regardless, do NOT give up! Your 24 pound loss is fan-freaking-tastic, and you should be very proud of yourself.

Also, if you're looking for some low cal meal ideas you can plan, I highly recommend "Enlightened Soups", it's a great recipe book you can get from Chapters. I made a Sweet Corn and Basil Bisque the other night, and it was super easy, DELICIOUS and low cal.

Beautiful Ace 01-17-2009 09:01 PM

Mmm, that sounds good. I'll have to look into that book:) is it all soup oriented recipes?

Hey Beautiful Ace!

Please don't give up - I've not been an active member of this community for long but I always notice your posts - you seem very confident and helpful and that inspires me, because that's something I'm not.

Everyone has minutes, hours, days, weeks, months where they don't see the point in keeping going with it. Days where the work seems worse than the reward. But just think about that wonderful life you have ahead of you once you reach your goal, and all the ambitions you'll be able to achieve.

Yeah, it sucks that you hurt your back, but remember that doing nothing when you have a sore back can exacerbate it. Unless you've been advised not to by a doctor, light exercise will do a bad back the world of good. Try swimming - I know we all feel self-conscious in a bathing suit, but get into the pool and do a few laps. It'll stretch out your back but it's a non-impact exercise and the water will make you feel soothed and relaxed.

Also get your bit of downtime while you recover to refuel your motivation. Go and get yourself some health and fitness magazines, and read about new workouts, people's success stories, new healthfoods, etc etc. They always motivate me no end!

Whatever you do, don't abandon this site. This site seems to be the pinnacle of it all for me. As long as I'm going to 3FC, posting here, I'm thinking about my goals. Even if I slip up and have a bad day or a bad week, focusing on my goals is better than nothing. Think of what you have to achieve, recover, refocus, and climb your way back up. The 20lbs you've lost already is brilliant; don't let it go back on. YOU CAN DO IT!

mariamherrera 01-18-2009 04:54 AM

haha- if you ever come to Seattle you better look me up girl we will tear the clubs UP! hahaha- same goes If i'm in that area!

inspired by you 01-18-2009 01:13 PM

Hi Chickie,
I havent really posted in while due to my own inner turmoil, but i still lurk often. I am so proud of you. Ive wanted to tell you that many times. I remember when you joined, and i thought, "this is one young girl with a head on her shoulders, wanting to tackle this weight at this age instead of waiting until your much much older and have encountered many other problems due to the weight."

You are always here to support and encourage others. I love seeing your posts and seeing how involved you are in the site. it wouldnt be the same without you.

I know things are rough right now, and i know you dont really 'want' to quit, your just overwhelmed. Hang in there, you have come so far. losing 24 pounds seems next to impossible to some ppl, but YOU did it, and you can do more once you get out of your funk. so just hang in there and have faith that it will pass and you will continue on your journey to health and happiness. Keep it up. you can do this!

Beautiful Ace 01-18-2009 01:46 PM

Haha, some would say that all my involvement in the site was a result of having no life!!! But right now I'm just hanging around working on getting school done and losing weight.

Thanks so much for your encouragement:)
