That is fantastic. Good for you. We care a whole lot. What a nice pick me up on my day too, that you could do so well. Tell us about how you did this over the holidays!!! (I assume no laxatives were involved? LOL)

Em...what I was doing? Trying not to eat too much, but not beating myself up if I did, and always making sure I was moving in some way every day!

I got Wii Family Trainer (I think it's called Outdoor Challenge in the US) for Christmas and did a bit every day, I did a couple of exercise DVDs, I went hiking, I punched my punchbag for ten minutes. I fitted in some exercise whenever I was able to.

I didn't deprive myself food-wise, just made sure I wasn't going too far. I gave my brother some of my Christmas chocolate, I said yes to veg and no to roast potatoes and Christmas pudding, at parties I played Wii Fit with the kids instead of eating cheese and crackers. I haven't drunk alcohol since 2008. Even when I was doing poorly, I told myself I was doing well.

God, I hope this continues as the year goes on. It's so motivating to see the scale say something you never expected. It feels so good to make a new ticker. I can't feel it yet, I can't see it yet, but I've lost 21lbs - a stone and a half - and I know its good!

A couple of years ago I lost 30lbs over about three months, and it made such a difference to every aspect of my life. True, I started further down (187lbs) but I'm only 9lbs away from having lost 30lbs again!

If I continue in this way, my Equinox challenge of being in Onederland by March 20th may have to be altered! And I intend to do everything in my power to ensure it does continue.

Thanks for all the great messages of support, I'm sure that scale wouldn't have said what it did without this site.
