What to do? Ate 900 cals and nursing
Today I ate a little over 900 calories today. I didn't do it on purpose, I just realized I ate so little when I entered my supper into Fitday. I'm not feeling hungry at all, just cold, which makes me think I might be getting sick. The problem is I'm nursing, so I'm not sure if I should eat something big this late to get my cals up, or not worry about it and make sure to eat enough tomorrow.
What should I do? Thanks for the help. |
You need to get a calorie heavy meal into your body ASAP. Even though you're not hungry, you're not the one that's going to suffer if there aren't enough calories to use- your baby will (your body is more likely to hold on to those few calories for its own use). Try to get at least another 600 calories in today.
I know it's just one day, but this is what I think. |
I'm sure others with more experience will chime in, but here's my advice. Eat a fairly big snack- don't make yourself sick, but get as many calories in as you can. Maybe have some PB. Tomorrow you need to make extra sure that you hit all of your calories and maybe a few extra.

boos, I wouldn't worry about it personally..one day is completely okay to be very low....just as one day is completely okay to be very high on intake...listen to your body cues....you will do great.
ETA: Mother Nature will take care of the baby...as long as you are hydrated your baby will take from your body to get what it needs. |
Thanks for the help ladies. :) I'm going to eat something now. My sister is bringing homemade pizza over tomorrow, so I guess it will be a good day to eat a little extra (I love pizza).
