I probably haven't been been eating healthy long enough yet because I still get cravings for what I used to eat. Not so much sugary things but mostly fried and high fat salty foods.

There is one item I can no long drink. I stopped drinking regular soda a long time ago for water and tea and the occasional diet soda and every once in a while I'll be somewhere where the only thing to drink is a sugar soda and I'll try it and YUCK I can't believe I used to drink that stuff every day! Like pure sugar syrup to me especially a Pepsi! ugggh

Unfortunately I could walk in a Chinese Buffet right now and still eat enough to where the owners would want me to leave!

Maybe one day I'll be sick of pizza, fried chicken and ribs ... I hope so because I sure don't NEED that stuff! It was killing me!

Oh I still get the cravings ... and what's bad is that this evening, now that my sugar rush is over and I'm crashing a little ... I have massive carb cravings. All I can think about is that I really REALLY want a bag of nacho cheese Doritos.

I know if I give in, I'll feel like crap after - and I don't want to give in, so I won't. But the low level craving is there.

It's a really good lesson in how your body changes and yet doesn't change!

Me too! I thought it was just me. I recently figured out that if I eat any refined grain bread, even one slice, or refined grain pasta/rice, it gives me a headache. I'm not sure this is a new development for me, though. I used to get headaches all the time, and thought they were due to my lumpy mattress, or work related from muscle fatigue or strain. Since cutting them out, though, I stopped getting headaches at all, so maybe it was the refined carbs all along? I haven't given up sugar yet, but that doesn't give me a headache.

PC, been there recently. If I eat any white carby stuff, man, crazy cravings last for about a day after. Same for candy. I tried indulging in a good old reese cup, since I used to love them. First off, it did not taste as good as I remembered, and second I had cravings for a whole day. I need to stick with dark chocolate if I want something decadent.
