Yikes! I can't tell the difference. It's winter and it's cold out so I'm cold and I would be cold if I were 40lbs heavier. I must be the odd one.

Oh the sock in the microwave trick is a great one. Fill an old (clean) tube sock with rice (and I throw in some lavender buds with mine), tie a knot in it, and nuke for 30 secs or so. You can do this with small socks as well and put them in the pockets of my coats when I'm going out to shoot. They stay warm for a long time, and smell yummy.

Oh I am almost on the brink of tears from the relief that there is nothing seriously wrong with me. I have a horse shoe shaped buckwheat pillow (or whatever it is) so I will be using it when watching TV etc. I always feel when I am cold, I tense up in my neck and shoulders.

Anemia is another issue. I have always been anemic. Iron just passes through me and doesn't stick. I have slacked off lately and I have to be more dilligent about it.

Let's just put it this way: I hate the cold sections of grocery stores now and love nothing more than getting into a sweltering car on a hot day.

Oh good grief. The refrigerated and freezer sections of the grocery store are TORTURE. I take a sweater with me when I go shopping. Even the produce section is too chilly. And since I do most of my shopping around the perimeter of the store where all the cold stuff is ... if I didn't take a sweater, I'd die.

Yes, I have definitely felt the cold more readily since losing weight! However, it only tends to be when I'm sitting still or not moving around much, so it's not a big problem in my day-to-day life. I do think my circulation is questionable though, as when my nose seems to get cold, it stays cold for hours, even when the rest of me is warm! It's not nice!

I'm freezing all the time. I know some of it is the loss of padding/insulation. I've read that some of it is body adjustment and that I will feel better in a year or more. (A year or more!!!!)

I'm still choosing thinner over warmer.

Umm...it's been almost 3 years....and I'm still cold.

But I'd rather be cold than the size I was. And my sweater collection? Let's just say it's extensive.

I'm totally gonna try the sock with lavender and rice trick. And thanks for the tip on CLEAN.

My husband took me to the store that supplies for restaurants. You don't just open the freezer, you walk into the freezer. It's a huge room with tons of meat and it's so cold you could swear your blood just froze in your veins. Next time I'll take extra clothing!!

Oh yeah, and it's going to be the most expensive part of this weight loss yet.

We live in a drafty old Victorian. The heating bills were outrageous last year with the furnace set at 63 degrees. This year I've kept it at 70 since October - I just can't tolerate the cold anymore.

I'm also piling on sweaters and using my electric blanket. 130 pounds ago I could walk outside in the snow wearing short sleeves, now I'm wimping out. I feel like a little old lady with my sweaters and hot drinks

I have purple fingernails all the time these days, and if I forget and rub my husband's back without warming my hands up first, he squeaks...which is actually pretty cute.

Last time I did this weight loss thing, after four years skinnier, I never got over being cold, but being a popsicle was well worth it. I assume that I will now be cold forever, but thin and cold...and long underwear are cheap. Besides, I have a cat...extremely useful for this problem.

Yep yep.

I'm huddled up next to my space heater as we speak! And I drink my water tap-warm...it's the only way I can drink it in quantity when it's cold.

My partner is a normal-sized person who has always complained about being cold when I have been comfortable. Now for the first time, I understand!!

So it may be that we are now all... "normal"??
