You're the skinny girl!?!? Oh My God! That's awesome... We all wish we could be the "skinny girl!" Props to you!

It sounds like this other lady has reached the fed up and desperate stage and maybe, just maybe she was led to you. She could learn so much from you, I know many of us here have. I hope she realizes and takes advantage of the library of knowledge you have. I just hope she knows you well enough to know that if she asks a question to expect brutal honesty. And I truly mean that in the nicest way. I hate people who pussyfoot around try to sugar coat everything. Some things just need to be point blank and thats the way you deliver it and I love it. I hope she takes your advice and comes here.
Way to go skinny lady!

Thanks Gloria! :)

I think she's doing ok. We swapped some recipes today and she has been really paying attention to WHAT I'm eating. It's funny because one of the things she said was that I ate "all the time" ... so today I kind of paid attention to that and the truth is that I *do* eat all the time.

But I eat yogurt, sip on a fruit smoothie, have a clementine, eat stew, have a v8 juice, have an apple, have some wasa crackers ... etc., etc. I plan 3 meals and 3 snacks a day and I guess from the outside it could be hard to reconcile the "always eating" with losing weight.

That's a great story, PC! And awesome that you are able to help her out.

I often wonder how/when my self perception will change. Right now I feel "less fat" and there are even brief moments when I feel "normal". Not skinny, just normal. However, the majority of the time I still feel like the chunk of the group.

Having someone refer to me as skinny will probably blow my mind. I'll get there eventually, though.

Thanks for sharing the experience. Makes everyone smile and good food for thought, too. :)

Michelle, I think feeling "normal" is a huge, HUGE thing! Congratulations on your awesome weight loss.

I was so sick of standing out in a crowd. I always felt SO self conscious about taking up more then my fair share of space. Taking up so much more space then everyone else. I remember wanting, longing to feel - normal. Average. I didn't even need to be "skinny" or anything like that. Just normal, regular.
