So. True. So. True.

Stuff in the grocery store hardly calls my name. But if the same exact thing is sitting on my sister's counter, it's so much harder.

usually i have made it myself.

I have no deviated from my plan since starting almost two months ago but when I did eat more than I should it was usually from my pantry ;) Crackers, cheese and deli meats come to mind.

Work. We have a 'Snack Cabinet' at work filled with all kinds of junk. Just as long as I stay out of the cabinet, I'm okay.

Some people in the department have requested that the snack cabinet have a selection of healthy foods, so it's not always filled with junk.

Mines usually from my moms or inlaws . My mom always has a candy dish or some kind of sweets around and I tend to want just a bite and I'll eat way more than that . Though I havent done it for a while. My MIL is always making yummy mexican food like her fried tacos so good I cant stop at 1.

Mine comes from Arby's or a place called Ground Round. Boneless buffalo wings with ranch... ahhhhh yum.

If take-out was the answer ... is it a meal or do you go get something just because you want it? Do you put on your coat and shoes and drive to find that thing you want?

I wouldn't drive but I'm not above walking to the convenience store for chips and ice cream. ;)

I have yes Susan. Particularly if I feel it's something my husband (read: me) would want like chips and dip. Hahaha What a love/hate relationship me and the chips and dip have.

Most of my off plan eating has occured at social functions.

Other times I've gone overboard on my very own healthy foods.

And then there's the rarer times when I'll hit the few "off" foods that I have at home. Like the kids cereal.

Baking can be a problem for me as well. I didn't bake for almost an entire year the year that I was losing, because I knew it would be an issue fo rme.

Oh, and lastly, they'll be times when I'm entertaining and do lots and lots of cooking. Mostly healthy, but there's usually something(s) off and sure enough, though I vow not to - I'll eat it.

I had to ban free food. Totally. If I start nibbling and give myself permission, it gets ugly - fast!

The only food I am overeating lately is homemade bread, fresh from the oven. :(

Okay, I can DEFINITELY understand that one! Definitely.

srmb60 11-19-2008 08:03 AM

I'd be in big trouble if I baked like I did when the kids were smalller.

Circebee 11-19-2008 09:42 AM

Mine is from the pantry on my days off, when I am just sitting around feeling anxious about ... everything! I can get so creative with a package of pitas, Ready-whip Lite, sugar free jelly, and PB2. Hey, they're all light foods, so how much harm can I do, right? HAAAHAAAHAAA! I have a hard time just going out by myself, as I often end up buying something at a store when I should be saving money, so I stay home. Today, I will bundle up and go out for a walk!

I'm lucky that I'm not a very good baker and have no real interest in it... I can't imagine what would happen if I was.
