The Power of Affirmation ~ write it , process it, become it !

I have been doing this thing lately where I email myself a little note every morning about my Daily Affirmation. I then delete it as it's served it's purpose. I believe that when a person sets their mind to something, even if incrementally over days and weeks, that eventually it manifests because the brain really is the control center for our lives. Today I wrote this , and sent it in an email to myself:

I am disatisfied with overeating. Eating more than my body needs is repulsive to me now. I no longer have the need to abuse myself with food, because there is no longer any pleasure in the sensation of 'stuffed'. I am fluid and unafraid of the elements , therefore I no longer eat recreationally, but meditate/play music/write/create art and craft recreationally. Hot tea. Hot decaf coffee are quite sufficient in satisfying and soothing my body, mind, and spirit. My perception of hunger is evolving out of past emotional associations, and isn't a part of my life any longer. I may have once found pleasure in overeating, but no longer have the need to fill emotional holes with food. I say goodbye to overeating, like an old friend from who's town I am moving out of. Bye bye overeating .

I invite all of you to do the same, here on this thread, anytime, however many times you need to get the thoughts processing in your mind. Make it in as fancy of a font and color as you wish. Now, lets put our mind to reinventing ourselves through the power of affirmation ! :)

That's a lovely affirmation. :)

Today's affirmation will be:

I am an athlete. So I will eat like an athlete.

I don't have an affirmation--yet. But I discovered over the past three days that I eat like a fat lady on a diet instead of a thin person for life. I know I need to change my perceptions and my beliefs about myself and the way thin people eat and why. I honestly don't know how thin people eat or why.

Just a suggestion, it may not make any difference to you, but I think I would phrase that "I am an athlete. I eat like an athlete." Make it already fact, not something to add to your list of shoulds.]

I need to think on what affirmation I need ...

Thanks Tyler... I'll keep those ones in mind. Right now I'm reading "Evolve Your Brain" by Joe Dispenza (a frontier fingure in film "What The Bleep Do We Know" )

Today I am not hungry for sugar, or threatened by moderate approach to food. I have abundance of healthy food around me and that is what interests me. I crave soy, fruit, vegies, and yogurt. I don't want to be under the ball and chain of overeating any longer, but free to be enLIGHTENED by moderate eating.

I'm into affirmations when it comes to my career, but I never thought to do this with my weight loss. I will try this. Thanks!
