Long story short, I fell off the wagon in August. Summer brought lots of challenges for me: Friends visiting, restaurant outings, fairs, festivals, and endless amounts of really good really unhealthy food. Not to mention zero time to exercise (though I do have a very physical 10 hour a day job)! I know without a doubt that sugar sets me off to crave unhealthy foods (for some reason cheese specifically), and to eat when I'm not hungry.
So, today, I'm off from work and trying to jump back on the wagon. I'm cranky for sure, I've eaten so much candy and flavored coffee drinks the past week that my head is screaming (and my skin is terrible). It's better that I'm not at work for this first day!
I suppose I didn't do as much damage as I might have for the way I've been eating...I gained 6 pounds in 2 months, but I'm still 25 pounds below my starting weight.
I'm fighting the good fight again starting right now. I hope after this that I'm better prepared to handle the challenges next summer will bring!
