Looking For A Buddy...
Hi everyone, I'm pretty new here and was wondering if there was anyone who wanted to be weight loss buddies, keeping in touch regularly by e-mail and discussing our various successes and pitfalls and challenging each other to keep with it!
I am, however, going to be quite pernickety about who I'd like to buddy up with, entirely for my own benefit so I get someone who is in a similar situation to myself. So if you are: - in your twenties-ish (I am 20) - around 200-220lbs - wanting to get down to 110-130lbs - around 5'3" - 5'6" - (less important) if you're from the UK I'd love to get in touch! I want a buddy too!!! I've been on this site quite a while...and really have never found anyone to really talk to for support and stuff. There was one girl... it was weird. My age and everything, from the same town even...but then she stopped emailing me before we ever even got together.
I am 23 203lbs 5'4 and a quarter...even though usually I claim 5'5 my goal weight is 136 (for now) I also work overnights---it'd be nice to find someone who also does this. I need help and advice big time. It's hard :( haha I feel like i'm on a matchmaking site while writing this post. Sorta silly But really...I need some support! :) |

I’ve been on here for some time now but don’t really post that much. I tried the buddy thing on here before only to have them drift away before ever really getting started. I would love to have some online support since I really don’t have any in my day to day life. I’ve been slowly but surely gaining weight and I need to put a stop to it soon! I’m 23. I was 199 at one time but am currently 163. My goal was 130. The lowest I got was 147 but I fell off the wagon and never really got back on. Thankfully I haven’t gained all of it back! I’m around 5’3 – 5’4. From NJ, USA. I work nights from 5 – 1 am. And yes it is hard. Especially when there is nothing to do but eat. Maybe we could form a little email group between the three of us? Hopefully I will be talking to you guys later. |

I had a blog before. They are really good if you love to write. I found me and writing don't get along so well :). It is nice though to have things recorded so you can look back and say things like "oh I've stalled before and this is how long it took me to get through it. No need to panic." By all means give it a try.

Im 21 I weigh about 168lbs now after losing some weight (still working on shifting the last 28) Im 5'8 ish And from south london if thats any good? I dont mind where anyones from who wants to message me or whatever, aslong as we're all keeping each others butts in check i say its all good.lol :D |

Hey everyone! Sorry I sorta fell off the planet the past few days. All these nights working in a row are killing me...plus I've been making sure to go to the gym!
I did take Sunday morning off from going to the gym, just because I knew I had to work tonight (sunday) from 9pm to 7am, then go to the gym until about 8:30, and then work at Lane Bryant from 9:30 to 2. I was tired so I figured getting a little extra sleep and taking a small break was ok. I also allowed myself a mini "cheat night" ...I had been craving sweets all week, and have done pretty good resisting them. Anyway, because I work nights I start my calorie counting at midnight every day. So today when I got to work at 9pm, I thought what the heck... the last 3 hours of sunday, I think i'll have a few sweets. People had brought in cookies and brownies. So yea...I cheated a little. I don't think it was a huge problem though. Typically I eat around 1200-1500 cals a day... my little binge probably put me at around 2000 cals for the day. Still not a huge loss since my RMR is about 1700. Now I've had my fill... and I think I'll be ok for the next few days :) |
9 pm to 7 am, then gym at 8:30 followed by work again at 9:30 to 2!
Wow. I give you credit. I come home from the 5 pm to 1am shift and just want to die. I couldn't imagine working out and then heading back to work. You definately deserve that break. |

K. I am a bit older than you guys. I am 34. Married and mother of 4. Work full time at night and go to school during the day. I would like a buddy too if I am not too old. I am currently at 210, was at 247 at my highest and want to be 150 for now. I reserve the right to change that number depending on how I feel the closer I get there. I have been doing very well until Hurricane Ike hit...now I seem to be on a diet of chips and other junk food since that is all you can get in the stores right now...I have one more day to blow it and tomorrow I am going to behave again. :D

Hi there. I would also like to buddy up with someone. I am 46 years old and really don't care the age of whoever I correspond with or where they are located on the planet. All that counts is that we can check in with each other and encourage each other when we get derailed. No headtrips and/or guilt trips. I would like to be in contact with people who do crafts, i.e. sewing or collecting, basically people that have hobbies would be really nice too. I find that hobbies are a great distraction from food alot of the time. Anyway, I wish everyone here good luck and a wonderful new week!

Extasee, hi there! I would love to be your buddy! I sent you a private message also. Yeah, I started out in the mid 230's range and I'm down to 203 right now. My ideal weight is right around 150 lbs. I haven't seen that number for over ten years though! I'm not giving up though. I figure that eventually (hopefully this time) I will be able to keep the momentum going and not cave in indefinitely. I find the older I've gotten the harder it is to lose weight, but like my husband says, it took me years to get here, give myself time to lose the weight. More than the weight I just want to be healthier and not have so many aches and pains. I'll be in touch. Have a great weekend!

Stats: 32 years old, no kids, in a LTR. Current 226/size 18 (bottom) and goal is to be a size 10/12 whatever weight that may be. I was once 300+ and lost 160 of that, but I didn't work to maintain & now I'm trying again. |
