What is a CSA?

I am suppose to know what a CSA is but for some reason I can't remember? I know it has something to do with local/organic vegetables, but details are needed. :?: Plus does anyone belong to one in Ontario or how to find one in Ontario?
Thanks

CSA is community supported agriculture. it's like a co-op for a farm. we belong to one in ohio. we bought a share for the current growing season - every week we get a box of fresh fruit and vegetables from the farm. it's awesome (although we're running out of ideas for zucchini!)

www.localharvest.org - should help you find one!

If you google CSA Ontario, or CSA Canada you probably will find them. I googled CSA Wisconsin a while back, and I found in the first page of searches a site for the US that allowed me to type in my zip code and find the nearest CSAs. I could also search by product that I wanted (say goat cheese). There might be something similar for Canada.
