S/C/G: 255.5/174/160

Default The scale is so cruel

I spent a more than two weeks jumping between 237.5 and 241. Today is my goal day for 20 pounds lost - 235.5.

I stepped on the scale...236

Oh cruel fatez. I know I should be that the scale FINALLY moved DOWN 1.5 pounds...but I'm so that I missed my goal by half a pound!

I just keep saying a loss is a loss is a loss. I also broke through a mini-plateau, right?

I'm going to be extra good this week and hope to be rewarded next Friday. Although I'm sure I'll be stepping on the scale twice a day just in case.

Oh, the things we do to ourselves... ><

I like to think of it this way, and little bit I can make that ticker move down the better! I LOVE getting to update it, even if I'm not exactly making my goal.

I have faith that you can reach your goals

Never, never, never set a goal to lose a certain amount of weight by a certain date. You have done fantastic yet you moarn not meeting your goal. The scale is the lest reliable predictor of success. Set goals to make permanent lifestyle changes and measure your progress by them. That is what helps you keep the weight off when you are on maintenance.

Now celebrate your loss - maybe a pedicure. You are a success.

Hey, 1.5 lbs. is a good loss! Congratulations - I'm sure you'll meet your goal by next week - and there ain't no shame in getting there a little later than you planned, especially if you were dealing with a plateau.

I'm hoping for a 1 lb. loss by next Friday. That will put me half way to goal. I swear, if the scale registers a gain next week, I'm going to do to it what the guys in Office Space did to the fax machine.
