I've "accidently" taught people who don't want to listen anyways... like the neighbor whining about her flabby arms blaming it on weight gain/loss which wasn't really in my humble opinion enough to warrant surgery. So I showed her how to do tricep dips, different versions of exercises, overhead... imagine demonstrating to someone who doesn't care but appears to not like you more for "sharing" your health ideas. I've seen her out smoking and boozing and hanging out with not so nice men now so I'm sure my healthy ideas weren't what she wanted to hear!

For many years I taught my children that it was okay to abuse myself with food and not take proper care of my body. What a terrible message I sent out to them. And I deeply, deeply regret that. But hopefully, I reversed that a tad. I think I've taught my children that with hard work, anything is possible if they want it badly enough.. That they can achieve great things if and when they set their minds to it.

I know for sure I've taught many people that eating healthy foods doesn't mean eating tasteless, "diet" foods.

I've definitely taught some people the benefits of eating lots of vegetables and taught more then a few, great ways to prepare them.

I know for sure I've taught many people that hard work pays off.

I know for sure that I've inspired more then a few people to start on a journey of better eating, exercise and good health. It's been very gratifying to me in fact.

That's a great gift to give kids, to just grow up with healthy food habits and feelings.

Well, I only wish I had taught them earlier about healthy food habits. My kids were practically grown when I started my journey. But I suppose better late then never.

I think I may have also taught them that they can reverse past mistakes.

I think the single best lesson anyone can learn or share is the very fact that it is never to late to learn.
