  • Sweetie, don't let one bad day discourage you (and it looks like the scale is still down, so congrats!).

    Instead, try to figure out why you lost control so it doesn't happen again. It sounds like you ate almost nothing before you got there and decided to have alcohol. It went into your system faster because you hadn't eaten. So, maybe next time eat first! You'll not only be able to make better FOOD choices if you aren't starving, but it also slows the alcohol absorption, so you won't get tipsy as fast.

    You say you knew to only drink rum and cokes, but why? First, did you have to drink alcohol? Not only does it have a lot of calories, but it helps us make bad decisions! And hard alcohol (like rum) may not be the best choice if you do drink!

    So, learn from what happened and get right back on plan! (But try to eat a little more during the day!)
  • Hey Jill;
    I agree with Heather on this. It was only one night. The changes that you are wanting to make are for life, not for just a small period of time. There are going to be ups and downs along the way, just like in life. Don't be so hard on yourself, remind yourself that you're worth getting back on plan, and get back at it.
