I can't cope not weighing myself every day...

So I'm a Uni student and have now come home over the summer to stay with my family until the end of August.
Well, my parents don't have a scale and I'm going crazy at the thought of not weighing myself for around 2 months. I mean I am seriously going crazy because I weigh myself every day and couldn't bring my scales home.

What am I going to do? They haven't even got a tape measure in the house because they're moving soon and everything is packed. Oh my God I can't take it, I'm scared without the accountability of weighing every day I'll lose control and put weight on :(

Well . . . scales can get pricey . . . but you could by a tape measure for about $1 and carry it in your purse. At least you'd have something to indicate your progress.

hm where do you live? I'm sure you can get a $10 - $15 one at Target or Walmart. If not, then I'm sure you can find a tape measure somewhere for cheap. I also weigh myself everyday so I know how you feel.. when I left to college I had to bring my scale with me, it really helped me stay on track. You could also use your clothes to help and sometimes you can tell just by how you feel (I feel a difference with every 2-3 lbs I lose).

Is there a vet nearby? If so, they'll let you step on the large animal scale....and they're usually very accurate! Our dog Beau weighs in at 105 lbs and he uses that scale because I can't lift him!

Is there a grocers nearby that has a scale for people? Maybe you could make a trip once a week. Or what about a gym? Or, do your folks have neighbors that might let you weight once a week?

I've battled the everyday thing too. My solution (like JayEll said) is to weigh in at the gym. I'm there 3 times a week and that's all!

It is scarey but you'll get used to it.

Funny, my first thought was about the scale at the vet's. Great minds think alike, LOL. :-)

But seriously though, I would forget about the scale. Exercise as usual, eat healthy and don't worry. I weigh myself only once a month (on the last day of the month), I stopped doing "updates" on the 15th.
I would go insane seeing the daily fluctuations.

I would just buy a scale, they can be pretty cheap.

just think of the huge smile youd have on ur face when u return to uni if youve lost a huge amount....
id say go out and buy some....
can get a decent digital set for £20-30....

I really would like to buy a scale but I have no money at all (hence why I am back home for the summer ) and my mum will not lend me the money for a new one...she thinks I'm getting obsessed with my weight and stuff. I guess because she only sees me every 3 months or so the weight loss shocks her and she practically accuses me of having anorexia lol
I live in the middle of nowhere (seriously we are MILES away from anywhere and I don't drive) so I suppose I could sweet talk my dad into giving me a lift to the shop and get a tape measure next time we go food shopping.

It's just so weird that I actually feel sick with anxiety that I don't have my scale, if I hadn't had to get the train I would have brought it back.

you look awesome in your during pic!

i was addicted to the weigh everyday thing. still am actually but practicing abstinence. everyday made me sad and cranky. i try to weigh once a month but sometimes i cheat.

no neighbors you can "visit" and have to use the potty?

that is kinda funny but it would work!
