Starting to get stuck...
So, I'm now at my lowest weight ever (well, obviously not ever, but since I've been this height) and I'm starting to notice issues. Honestly, the first thirty pounds basically just fell right off as soon as I started eating better and exercising, and I actually had no problem cutting down to 800-900 calories a day. Now, though, I find myself battling ravenous hunger on 1800 calories a day. It's not even food craving- I just find that I'm still hungry even after having an entire bagel for lunch, something which would previously have been WAY too much. Does anyone have strategies which have worked for them in the past for getting rid of those last few pounds?

Wow, you went down to 800 calories a day? I wonder if maybe your body is just rebelling a bit from having gone so low in calories for that period of time?

You need to look at what those 1800 calories consist of. A bagel is pretty carby, and won't fill you up long unless you add some protein with it.
Each meal/snack should have a nice balance of protein/fat/carbs to help keep your blood sugar level. |
I just want to say that I bagel would not fill me up for lunch - it might but only for a short time. For me, half a bagel with half a can of tuna (with a dab of mayo) and some veggies would keep me full MUCH longer for about the same calories.
Also, are you exercising lots? I find no matter how much I eat I am STARVING after I exercise and can't seem to get un-hungry. |
