I'm NOT hungry. I'm NOT hungry. I'm NOT hungry...

So WHY do I have "cupcake" on my brain??? :?:

Surely, eating that ONE chocolate covered pretzel last week didn't "do me in"... did it?

Nobody around here HAS any cupcakes & no one has mentioned a cupcake (that I'm aware of! :dizzy: )

So WHY do I have CUPCAKE on my brain???

This has GOT to be hormonal. No other reason for it.

Hah. For the same reason I have VINEGAR AND SALT CHIPS on the brain.

And it won't freakin' go away! :)

(And yes, it's my TOM.)

That happens to me too - try to confuse the craving. Do you have any dill pickles? Eat something really sour and crunchy (the opposite of a cupcake) and the craving might subside.

Yes m'am... keen to that trick! - I just ate a handful of raw almonds. Not sweet; not salty or sour... and "not much". But certainly not "cupcakey" in any form, shape or manner. Let's see how my cupcake-brain fairs now! :^:

Hey BeachPatrol--I don't know for sure, of course, but I'd suspect that one chocolate covered pretzel may have been a "trigger" for you, and now you want MORE... of something! Most likely simple carbohydrates, sugar, chocolate... It doesn't always come on immediately--sometimes there's a delay.

Doesn't mean you "shouldn't" have had the pretzel--it's just more information for you! Lets you know what to expect--higher cravings for awhile. Just hang in there, girl! :cheer3: :cheer3:

Thanks Jay! -
I really don't have much choice but to "hang in there"... there isn't a cupcake to be found for MILES from where I work... which, in this case? A GOOD THING! :D

What gets me is the fact that I KNOW I am NOT HUNGRY - AT ALL! That's why I'm sure this is a hormonal attack. Dagnabit. Why can't cupcakes have the nutritional value of broccoli?? Or why can't asparagus TASTE more like a cupcake?? :dizzy:

Subliminal government conspiracy? It's your mouth that wants to wrap itself around a cupcake. Try a hard candy like Werther's Originals, some water or club soda and when the candy is done, pop some peppermint gum into your mouth. Of course since its now 10:30pm, you've no doubt survived the craving. :D
