Luck? Who needs it
So earlier today i wrote about my goals for this week in my blog. I ended the blog with ...wish me luck.
I have been thinking about that phrase all day...I have decided, mentally it is really counter productive because it sets me up for failure like i need "luck" to help reach my goal. or that my goal is soooooooo hard and unattainable. (its a little dramatic) so from know on, screw the luck. I dont need it cause i am working really hard |
Good for YOU! :cp:
Who needs luck when we can make good CHOICES??? |
Many times we create our own "luck".....you are on the right track! Proud of you!
|
Fantastic! I couldn't agree more. It is not about luck. It is about discipline and choices. I suppose I had a bit of luck stumbling on 3FC, but the rest is hard work....We each own the power to change.
|
another one who totally agrees! it's not "luck" or "hope" or "prayer" that's going to get you there, it's YOU - pure and simple. You CAN, you WILL and you DO IT!!
way to go!! |
I think sometimes that what seem like small mental "tweaks" like that can really make a difference! Way to go!
The Japanese don't typically wish each other luck. The culture focuses on hard work and perseverence, so to encourage someone they say "Persevere" -- Ganbatte (pronounced gan-bat-tay) -- instead of "Good luck" So, GANBATTE! |
Good for you, and you're right. Luck has nothing to do with the effort you are putting in and luck will have nothing to do with your SUCCESS!
|
Exactly - there are some things out of our control for weight loss, but not many! Good for you for realizing this!
|
Winning the lottery - that might be luck. But you're right! Weight loss isn't about luck! It's completely about the choices you make regarding eating and exercise, so you, not some universal luck dispenser, are the one in control!
