Please let us know the WHAT ~ WHEN ~ and WHERE'S of YOUR 5K.

Post pictures if you have them!

Not only do I thank-you for being a part of this but I think I can speak for everyone to everyone, that has entered, in one way or another by saying....

whoohoo! looks like this early bird is FIRST

anyhow, I did my "usual" walking route - not to give out too much information but it's a main but country road here in CT, from a golf course to soccer fields in the next town over. the route is actually 4.1 miles round trip if you count the fact that i circle the parking lot at the soccer fields.
So i went a little TOO FAR...lol.. I started out at 11:40 this am (i'm a walker. no matter how hard I try, even done couch to 5k, i'm no runner.. but i am a FAST walker) and I was back at home at 12:25 this afternoon.. so just over 4 miles in 45 minutes! not too shabby for a pretty lazy broad

That is AWESOME karmuz! 4 miles in 45 minutes is pretty darn good! Doesn't sound lazy to me!

Way to kick things off in the results thread!!

and...you still have time to do it again before the week-end is over

Thanks EZ!!
As far as this weekend goes.. in theory, yes I DO have time to do it again, but my work schedule and the weather probably won't permit it.

Thumbs up One and Done!

Just got done my first 5K. Total time 39 mins, ran 75% of it. Was extra inspired to hop on the TM to do this since the scale was down another lb. this a.m. Can I get a big wahoo? At the 1/2 hr. mark "Where Are We Runnin'" came on my pod. Just the ticket I needed -- thinking about everyone else that was doing this run over the weekend and this song really motivated me to just keep runnin'!

Hey, this should be a monthly challenge. Second weekend each month or something. Thanks for suggesting this great idea Gary!! It was just what I needed!

I think a monthly challenge would be awesome! Maybe you should start a new thread about it, may get better attention.

". . . ok I'll go, I'll go, I'll go, I'll go, I'll go. What - I'LL GO." Count me in! Hey, does this mean we'd have to start calling you 'Coach'?

Cue music "I feel good. I knew that I would".

OK I finished! A little slower than anticipated, due to some issues.

5k in 68 mins

This'll tell you how small our towns are around here...I ran through THREE towns, past the Delaware River, and then back through the same three towns to get home.

24 minutes, 23 seconds for the 5K and then I finished off five miles in 43 minutes, 48 seconds! New personal record on both counts!

I would LOVE to join up a monthly challenge/race.

Kara
