Good Humpday to Everyone!

Good Morning to Everyone!!!!!

I had weigh in last night and was very sad to learn that I had gained over a lb!!!! But after talking with my leader I realize that since I was in such bad shape and have now started walking that I am building muscle to replace some of that fat and muscle weighs more than fat. With my inches loss, my leader convinced me that it is a good thing for this gain. Sure didn't look good on those stupid metal scales, though. :sigh:

Teaki~ - You know our prayers are with you and your family. It is so very hard to watch something like this going on and not jump in. I don't know your relationship with your son but a lot of times mom jumping in can be a disaster. So, all you can do is be there for your DDIL and place this burden at the feet of the Master and give it ALL to Him. You have to let go for Him to work. This is always hard. Of course, this is just my own opinion. You could plant the seed to both the kids to seek God's will if you think they would be receptive. {{{{{HUGS}}}}}

Patricia~ You and DH are doing so good.......keep up the good work!!!! How's Joshua? {{{Baby hugs}}}

Pravda~ Good to hear from you again. You might try making some oven fries. And as far as potatoes, I eat a baked potato about twice a week. I just add either Molly McButter, ff sour cream or spray butter. Hang in there, where there is a way there is a will. ;)

Ginny~ Sounds like you have been really busy!!! But that can be a good thing!!! Hope DD is doing much better. There is a lot of respiratory stuff going around here. Watch her closely as I know you will.

Wilma~ You are strong and determined and WILL lose the weight before DS's graduation!! Oh, how the years fly by. Our kiddos just grow so fast these days! Maybe someday I can take you up on that snowmobile ride. I know I would love it!!!!

Sami~ You too will lose before this summer, you just have to be determined and keep the goal in front of you. So sorry about your nephew!! Of course, our prayers are with you and him and the rest of the family. I know it's scarey with his age and everything. Keep looking up for the answers! Glad to hear the FIL is better!

Well, sweet folks, I must go take my walk this morning. I hope everyone has a wonderful Humpday!!!! Stay OP and get active!!!! I know you can do it!!!!

Prayers and Hugs to All!!!!!

sami 02-20-2002 07:50 AM

This is the day that the Lord has made Let Us rejoice and be Glad in it!

Great News my Nephew is doing Great when The Dr. openned it up it was a mass infection so they cleaned it up and drained it. Prayer answered. (this is the same family who's other son was molested)

Teaki-My heart goes out for you. I bet your right that your son knowing he has hurt his wife pushes her away because it is hard to face her knowing he hurt her. I would go to your son and be honest with him but only he can make this work. I am lifting your family up in prayer.

Pravda-You and I am at the same point I start out well and I get thinking a little won't hurt and before I know it I am back where I started. I know I have to give it up(sugar, fries ect..) because I can't just eat a little. What we need to remember is Nothing taste better than being thin feels! (I saw that posted here) We are going to get back on the wagon and we Will do it! I am lifting you up in prayer! And I am here for you.

Sherry-I hate the scales!!!! You are doing GREAT and you keep up the good work!!! Your right about the muscle weights more than fat so look at the little diffrences that you notice. You are going to do it!!!!!!! I have faith in you!

Ginny-I don't know how you do home schooling I am so happy to drop them off in the morning LOL! As I am typing I have to keep breaking up littles spats. What is the 40 day thing?

Wilma-try to do the stress free meal and maybe even work on your quilt! I am making paper dolls for the preschool so they can put the names on the dolls to show who will be in preschool next year well I had to get fancy the tee shirts for the preschool have hand prints going in a circle so I go out my mini punch and made mini hand prints. It is cute but a lot of work!!!! (Keeps my hands busy so I am not thinking of food)

Blessing to all,
Sami

losing4good 02-20-2002 09:28 AM

Sami - you addressed this to Ginny, but I think you meant me! Don't worry, we often get confused for one another :dizzy: !

The 40 day thing... is just a time our church has set aside for us, as a church body, to refocus ourselves on Him and our relationships w/Him. This time has been designated w/specific prayers in mind... they even laid out the entire New Testament to be read over these 40 days. Today is actually the first day, so I need to be sure to get my reading in! I'll tell you, just now, it's very hard for me to set aside that "quiet time"... when I'm awake by myself (except for the baby), I'm too tired to focus on any words!!!!

It'll get better though!!! :D

Good afternoon!!!!
Sami~ wondeful news on your nephew!!!!! Praise God for His goodness and mercy.
Teaki~ we will pray for your family! It is the only answer- and if there is action to be taken, He will let you know thru prayer too. My heart breaks for you.
Patricia~ now how could two slightly silly individuals, such as ourselves be confused with each other! Love ya lots- and I am honored to be confused with you! Hope that you got your scripture time in.
Pravda- I will keep you in prayer too. I like Wilmas potholes analogy. (Thanks, Wilma!)
Sherry~ did you get your walk in? I hope so. Thanks for the encouragment.
Another busy day, so I have to go. Dd stayed home again. What a nagging cough! She took a nap this afternoon and seems a bit better.
I weighed in this am at 154.5#. It seems hard to believe that the 150 threshold is approaching. (I am getting excited- I have not weighed less than 150 since Ds was born, almost 13 years ago!)
Gotta go, he (Ds) just came home from school.
Have a blessed evening.
Ginny

Good Morning

Hello...Let me be the first to wish you all a Great day!

I'm about ready to head to work.
Whew...this has been a busy week :dizzy: Kids will run you to death. But I guess I wouldn't have it any other way. I have been able to get my walking in each day:D I weighted monday and had lost 2 lbs.:)
I am only working 1/2 a day tomorrow. Our church is going on a skiing trip. This will be a first for us. Hope I can stay op and not break my neck!

I pray that you all will have a safe and joyful Thursday:wave:

Monica

losing4good 02-21-2002 08:17 AM

Monica - congrats on the 2 lbs!!!! Have fun skiing!!!!

Ginny - Horray for 150!!!! You can do it! I don't think I've seen 150 since before....Jennifer maybe??? at least 3 kids ago... but soon!!! I think I was stuck at 162 for the last 2 years... so I'll be excited to see 160 come and go too!!! If I stay w/in points...I should be close to that on my birthday next Saturday!!! That would be a nice birthday present to me!!!

Hope everyone else is having a good Thursday.... remember, we're in this together, and God is leading our way!!

Patricia :)

wilma12 02-21-2002 10:53 AM

Good Morning! I'm at work so this has to be a quick one. I want you to know that I am praying for you today!

Teaki: I am lifting up you and your family in prayer. May you find the answers you need. I can't imagine what you are going through but want you to know that I care.

Eeyore's Son: WTG on losing inches. That's more important than the scale anyway. My scale shows that I haven't gained any over the summer and yet I've gained an inch on my waist and I know it's because of lack of exercise.

Sami: I'm so glad your nephew is okay. What a stressful time for your family.

Patricia: Your 40 day thing sounds quite a bit like what we're doing in our church only it's call 50 day Spiritual Adventure. The sermons match the devotional books we've been given. The topics this year are about Bible Characters. Last Sunday was Joseph and fleeing from sexual sin. Next Sunday we learn more about Esther (my favorite). I'm enjoying it.

Ginny: You're doing great! Leaving me in your dust. Of course, I need to get out of this big pothole I'm wallowing in and get moving again. If I sit here much longer I'm going to need a crane to get me out. LOL

Monica: You're doing great too! One would think that moms would all be skinny with all the running around we do!!

Let's all make a commitment to get going and get doing!!

Have a wonderful day!

sami 02-21-2002 11:26 AM

pravda 02-21-2002 12:38 PM

Good to see so many happy people on line today. It makes it easier for me to go on!

I am feeling a little better about things. I have gotten back OP. It has been a rough week though, I have caught that cold that everyone else has! I fought it as long as I could, but caught it anyway! Man, these colds are mean!:s:

Wilma- Thanks for the words of encouragement. It helped a lot.

Patricia- How is Joshua doing?

Sami-At least I am not alone in this battle. I have learned about myself that I have to get rid of all the bad stuff, I can never just eat one or a little.

Anyway, I am at work, so I will chat more later!
Pravda

Good Morning Dear Ladies!
I was at work yesterday, and got to read the posts, but was so busy that I had no time to respond. Then on the way home, I found out that Ds had to make a presentation last nite at school (which we did not know about until I picked up up from Bball practice!)- so it made for a long day. Now Ds is home with a 103 fever. It seems flu like- he is throwing up and has a sore throat.
Now that I have made everyone's day..............:)
I hope to get back here later and address the posts. So many of you are facing trials. Teaki and Pravda I will remember your special concerns in prayer.
Hope that each of you have a good day.
Ginny
(sorry this post is so short)

Happy Weekend!!!!!

Good Saturday Morning to All!!!!!!

So sorry I haven't been posting much lately but it was either post or walk and I really have to walk. I hope ya'll understand. :^:

I have done really well this week. I've been OP with points to spare and been active. The old metal box says this morning that I am losing but Tuesday will be the official WI. I have been walking a mile every morning and trying real hard to get at least a half a mile in during the afternoon or early evening. But haven't every day.

Oh nuts, I gotta go take one of the kids somewhere that I didn't know about. LOL I'll come back later and address your posts.

Have a WONDERFUL day!!!!!!

ECmom 02-23-2002 09:57 PM

Good evening!
Sherry~ well, in my book going for a walk instead of posting is wonderful!!!!!! Congrats on your dedication and perserverance.
We will all be here to rejoice with you as the scale goes down!:)

Monica~ congrats on losing 2#! I hope that the skiing trip was safe and fun. (as for me, I would ski only if an ambulence could drive right next to me.........or can you ski surrounded by airbags?:dizzy: )

Patricia~ haven't heard from you in a few days. How are you feeling?? How is Dh doing on WW too? And that sweet little Joshua- I pray that he and the rest of your family are doing fine.

Wilma~ how are you? I think of you often, up in beautiful Canada! How has the weather been there? Have you been able to walk (I hope!)

Sami~ how is your nephew doing? And your diet? Did you get on the scale?

Teaki~ I pray that the situation with your son and his wife has changed and that hearts are softened. Please keep us updated so that we can pray effectively.

Today was another busy day. I got some painting done in the dining room (2 walls)~ but now that has me started with that kind of project. Got a walk in this am. My eating has been ok.

Pravda~ how is your cold? Hope that you are drinking lots of water and hot fluids! Good for the cold and the diet!

Gotta go and pick up Dd from a party. Hope that your weekend is going well. (and I hope that I did not miss anyone!)

I'm back, I'm back!!

Hello my friends!!! I'm back, I'm back. I must admit that this is good for me because every time I've either been on vacation or away for any reason, that's when I tend to stay away from here for MONTHS.....but here I am, back again. :) and do I need y'all!!! I did nothing but eat while in Florida. I haven't weighed in but I'll tell you one thing, when I do weigh tomorrow morning, you will all hear me crying from where you are :( So be ready to lift me up ~ I'm gonna need y'all...........

vacation was great though. Saw my daugher, my mom, brother, dad and step mother, my sisters and their families.....so it was really nice. Oh, did I mention that all I did was eat??? Oh, yeah, I did.....

I want to congratulate all of you that did so well while I was gone and lost those pounds. WTG!! I'll have some 'catch up' to do now.

I am praying for all of you who have posted concerns and needs for you, family and friends. I will add all of you to my prayer list. Sorry I am not mentioning each of you individually but I have to run. Laundry, grocery shopping and clean up....all the 'after vacation' stuff ya know.

Have a wonderful Sunday evening and I'll talk to you all tomorrow when I come on here and START OVER.

Love in Christ,
Zoe ~ Soaking up the "SON" back in Texas
