I 'realized' today that I DON'T need or want to go to meetings. I would much rather chat online with you all like I always do. Might sound silly, but my gals on here keep me accountable. I seriously dread posting when I'm bad but I always do! So...yeah.

I find this site more inspiring then anything too. I've thought of joining weight watchers or tops but this works for me. Even posting when I'm BAD.

I used to go to weight watchers but I find that posting here is better for me also. Being behind a computer helps people be more honest about the real issues associated with weight loss that they are dealing with. Spending about a half hour to an hour a day on this site really keeps me on track.

I love my WW meetings, and I love 3FC :) I couldn't do without either of them.

I'm with you, suitejudyblueeyes, I love getting help and ideas and making friends here, but the WW meetings help me stay on track, as well...

I don't have access to WW or anything like that (I live in a very rural area), so this website has been amazing for me. I also find that sharing my diet and my successes with others helps keep me on task. My coworkers know that I'm on a diet, so they don't bring me homemade cookies or anything anymore, and they're really supportive of me, as is my family. My boyfriend is a little skeptical, but that's because I had an eating disorder in high school and he doesn't want to see me get totally obsessed about my weight like I was then (even though he didn't know me then).

I think maybe if I was still in Alabama, I might be going to meetings but since I don't know anyone here anyway, it doesn't bother me. Plus, the only meeting that I'm really available for is all older women so....
