Default Dinner with my soccer team

I recently joined a soccer team. After practice, some of us went out to dinner. When I declined dessert, one of the girls said, "I admire your will power". I told her that I'm trying to watch my weight (I'm actually trying to lose a little more) and then said that I used to be heavier. She had trouble believing me.

Isn't that an odd feeling? Knowing that you're meeting people who never knew you as heavy, and they probably just see you as normal?

It always blows me away that everyone who sees me in the grocery store doesn't look at me and think "she struggles with her weight".

It is an odd feeling. I'm "only" 25 pounds lighter, but it feels like a huge difference.

Way to go -- on skipping dessert AND impressing your teammate!
