Heeeyyyy,

I was away ...now I'm back. Had no internet service and I had a bad night. Not as bad as they come but bad. I woke up ths morning with aching feet and a headache and not wanting to get out of bed. But I did cause I did. I have been on plan:D . I planned my whole day. water, snacks meals ..all of it. Hopefully that will be my safety net. Nightime continues to be some kind of parallel universe where nothing I did all day matters. My convictions, motiviations, plans all of it are somewhere else. I liken it to addiction only not nearly as rough I know. An obssesion? bad habit? compulsion? Man who knows but it aint fun!:(

Short1 , I hope you hop back on the loosing train look how far you are now. Man I would kill to be at your old weight 175... aaah I remember 175 . But now your in the 150's girl! You got it goin on!! So leave Christmas junkland behind! :carrot:

guyana, good for you for hoppin on your bike! Have you been on since? Have a ride for me! I would love to have a bike. Just know hat when you do this you are firing up yur metabolism and burnin some calories! :carrot:I am saving for a treadmill. It gets soooo hot here that it is hard to go outdoors. I am orginally from the NW!

I bough some flavored teas. The flavors are vanilla, peach, orange cinnamon, toffee { yucko}. I bought these in hopes of upping my water intake. Am I foolin myself? The only herbal tea I have found here is chamomile. Believe me I dont need o be any more mellow than I already am. My BP is usually 120 over 65.

I joined a Valentines Day challenge on the 100lb club. I love Valentines day! I still dont have my new scale so its kinda odd of me to join if I cant post my weight but I hope it will help keep me focused.

quickly! sorry but my sloppy post. my keyboard is not feeling well. Am geing a new one of those too. Hubby will be home in 10 days with bags of bran, flax seed, a scale and a keyboard...amongst other things!

Kriss you are doing FABULOUS!!!! I am really, REALLY liking your attitude. It's gonna take you FAR. All the way to goal. I can just feel it.

Hang in there with the nighttime. Just do anything at all - except give into those stupid cravings. It WILL get easier and they WILL pass and it WILL be worth it. Big time. Read, journal, knit, sew, exercise, drink that tea of yours, do your nails, your paperwork, the laundry, a puzzle, clean/straighten the house, clean/straighten your neighbors house (just kidding). You get the picture.

Planning is the key here and you seem to be getting that aspect nailed.

I am also loving your list. Those things are really worth fighting for. The list of benefits to weight loss are endless. Simply endless.

I bet you can't wait til hubby gets home. Sounds like he's coming home with quite the bounty.

I tremendously look forward to hearing more from you. :)

Well this is the first night that I am fine!! I mean I didnt even have popcorn! I just rode it through. I took down my Christmas tree as my "project". My house is incredibly tidy and well organized! :dizzy: But it is around 10:15 and I feel like I am outta the woods!:cool:

One thing that I have noticed is when I get hungry between meals its dangerous. :devil: I quickly snack on raw veggies. It's kinda bland but I am trying really hard to keep my cals at 1200. It is amazing how fast they add up so I am not sauteeing them in oil or anything. RRobin how do you roast your green beans? We have lots of sweet potaoes here. I remember growing up my mom halving a butternut squash baking it and slathering it in brown sugar and butter!! Baaaadness. But I could put a slice of pumpkin in the oven and add a tablesppon of brown sugar. Good treat?

I did some arm lifts with this stretchy thing my mom gave me. Feel good about that! :carrot:

I am excited and calm at the the same time. Weird. Maybe just the calm one feels when one makes decision. Excited cause I cant wait to read what the scale will read. Also cause I made it through the night.

Thanks for all the wonderful encouragment. I am completly inspired by you so I cant tell you how much you are making a difference. I watched an Oprah tonigh. I am not sure if it was a rerun or not but it just made me so happy. More amazing stories of weight loss achieved by 6 meals a day and exercise. I am talking one woman who lost 530 lbs! I could just feel their triumph over the negaive self talk they used to use and taking baby steps.

Hey Kriss,

Just to say... at your weight, you can probably eat more than 1200 and still lose weight! In fact, you might do better at 1400 or even 1500. You can experiment with this once you get your eating routine down and see what's what. :)

I eat anywhere from 1400-2200 kcal a day and I am still losing weight. You just want to make sure you are going to burn off excess cals if you eat excess! So don't starve yourself yet! Maybe when your weight is down you may have to reduce cals, but for now don't go too low! You want to be able to eat less, but you also want to be able to reduce that even more if you are at a hault!

That's awesome that your hubby can bring back things for you that you can't get where you are! I guess that's the benefits of traveling!

Thanks for writing Short1. I am so paranoid of hitting a plattaue {sp} I always halt at 175. Which is a weight I was a for many years. So I thought if I kept the cals really low my body would just keep loosing. It is really hard to keep the te calories down that low though.

However ...I have the mumps !Of all things thas why I havent really been posting. Chicks if you do one thing in your life dont get the mumps. PAIN! also its nearly impossible to eat or drink . Everythinng hurts or burns :(.

Jus wanted to let you all know I m still with ya! All the way! I apprecaite every little post I get in return to mine.:hug: Kriss

Oh Kriss. The mumps???? Oh my. I can't imagine what that's like. Please take care of yourself. I hope you are feeling better real soon. Hang tough.

Here's the green beans recipe, for when you're feeling better (soon, I hope)

Roasted Green Beans

Make a lot, they really are yummy.

-Green beans, rinsed and trimmed.
-Spray a large cooking sheet with cooking spray.
-Lay beans on in as much as a single layer as possible.
-I add tons of fresh coarsely chopped garlic and a little sea salt
-Spray beans with some more cooking spray
-Place in 400 degree oven for about 30-40 mins, turning every now and then, til they get almost brownish and wrinkly.
-ENJOY!!

It make take a few times til you get it down "pat" and find the way that you like them best.

Heeyy ;) Peeps!

I'm back , feeling much better. Thank you for the recipie RRobin. I will be making those tomorrow. First day back to school/ work tomorrow. Little worried. One is feeling hungry and not having stuff handy 2 having to pee 50 million times a day! :^: I will be staying out of the staff room! I plan to walk around the school during the first break and eat my lunch with much devotion at lunchtime.

I am famished after the enforced fast that was the mumps but I am keeping it in check. I know it will cool down in a few days. I cant wait to post my weight loss here on Wed. I know I have lost I can feel it.
