confused!!!!!!!!

  • well lately i havent been doing as good as i shouldve on my diet and shamefully had salted peanuts, pies, pizas, chineeses and chips! oh and dont forget the choccy! and all in the matter of this extremly bad week ive stayed the same weight? how? i dont no! it must've been a miricle or something !

anways..... for the past 5 days ive done my diet like an angel and been soooooooooooo good i was a new person! and ive lost nothing! infact i gain 2lbs and i am currently at that weight of 116lbs whereas on my reckless nights i stayed 114lbs! i am soooooooooo confused whats happening? do i need to eat junk to say slim (wish that was the answer... doubt that ) ?

your advice is very much welcome! thanks
  • You know, sometimes it takes my body a few days to register me being off plan (I average about 3 days before the scale will show the results of an off-plan meal or two)...it may be that you just had a delayed reaction on the scale from the "bad week", and its only showing up now.

I've had this happen too. It was SO confusing until I figured out the delayed reaction thing, and now its like clockwork...eat some things off plan, wait three days, scale registers a rise.

Good for you for getting back on plan!
  • I experienced this once too and was very confused. My WW leader told me that its almost ALWAYS the weigh in the week after that will show an increase when you splurge.
    Hope this helps!
  • Same thing happens to me. I went to town to get some more pills and I decided to weigh myself. Behold, even though I have eaten next to nothing these few days I am at 173.3. By the time I start eating again I bet I will have lost a couple of pounds.

    Ah, the Montezuma's Revenge diet...
  • the same has happened to me. In fact, pigging out for an entire month made me lose 2 lbs, which is just STRANGE out of my mind.
  • What I keep reminding myself - it didn't take one fancy dinner or one splurge or one business trip to get heavy, my being heavy was the result of days and months and hundreds of bad choices. I've been maintaining for almost 3 years and as long as I get right back on track after eating off plan, I don't see a bunch of scale variance (usually, there was a week long trip to Vegas that was a 4 lb exception - buffets - don't try this at home, kids!)
  • aww thanks guys now i no im not the only one! well hopefully the scale will be brighter in the next days.... thanks
  • ice cream is my killer! I can be good the whole week then one night ruin the whole thing...
  • manchuntd88,

I don't keep ice cream around for that reason...

    Nope, you're not alone, FlabbyHarry!
