Having trouble eating ;_;
I'm not sure if this is in the right section.. But I couldn't figure out where to put it.. So here it goes..
I just started working at an Italian Resturant near my house.. And ever since I started working I've lost my appetite and I have to force my self to eat .. Has anyone else had / found away around this problem? Or am I just odd? Thanks in advance ^^ |
I have noticed that when I work in the concession stand at my kids games, I lose my appetite. It is disgusting food though, I doubt your Italian Restaurant is like that. But I think it has to do with being around the food so much, not necessarily the quality of the food. I get tired of the smell, touching it, etc. Maybe you are doing that also?
Generally I have never had trouble eating though. :) Of course, I've never worked in the restaurant industry either. |
Do you bring your own food? When I have trouble eating, I drink my calories (juice and LF buttermilk) and eat a lot of dried fruits and nuts.

You know what., I feel exactly like that jtammy. Just the smell of food makes me feel sick sometimes..
And usually my manager Gus gives me free food.. I could probably try bringing in my own food.. But I don't really have the funds for that .. seeing that im a to-go girl and i live off of tips.. and know one ever tips the to-go-er at my resturant :[.. Maybe i'm tired of the food.. Thanks for the advice you guys ^^ |
I'd suggest that, too! Take some foods that you do like to eat. I hear you about the money problem, but it doesn't have to be anything expensive--just some things you like to eat.

trishie, I used to work in an ice cream store and I couldnt stand the smell of dairy. I was barely hungry each time and just ate when I felt drained.

If he offers it for free, get a grilled chichen caesar salad, dressing on the side :) Best choice in Italian restaurant in my opinion.
