Songs that give you inspiration...
 

I don't know if inspiration is the right word but its all I could think of. Is there a song(s) out there that give you inspiration to change how you think or feel about yourself to make a positive change.

wow...that's a tough one. The only songs that seem to pertain to my life these days are love songs. every love song i hear i can somehow agree with. weird huh???

I love listening to "body beautiful" by salt n pepa when I'm getting down on myself about my body. It's from the To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything, Julie Nemar soundtrack.

For me I love Going through **** by Rodney Atkins......whenever I hear it it's like yeah I can keep going!

Gravity by John Mayer. I don't really like him that much but the song's got a line that goes "twice as much isn't twice as good" and I try to remember it when I'm thinking about overeating.

I agree, Wasted (Carrie Underwood) is great.

The River, by Garth Brooks ("choose to chance the rapids/and dare to dance the tides").

Tubthumping, by Chumbawumba ("I get knocked down/but I get up again/you're never gonna keep me down").

I absolutely LOVE the version of Somwhere Over The Rainbow/What A Wonderful World sung by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole, he combines the two songs into one and it's absolutely beautiful, I highly recommend you look it up. There's one line that always sticks with me (from the "What A Wonderful World" section):

"I hear babies cryin', I watch them grow, They'll learn much more than I'll ever know"

I think a great one is "unwritten" by natasha bedingfield. It always makes me happy when ever i hear it. here's a snipet of what it says...it just reminds me that only i can really choose my path...and not worry about others...
