Where do you lose it from first?
I'm on Week 6 of my diet now - I've probably lost around 13 pounds, but my next weigh in isn't for 2 weeks to check.
I notice my shoulders, arms, neck, face, chin a little thinner, and my skirts are feeling looser at the waist. I don't see any difference in my butt :D or my thighs, I think my stomach is a little smaller. Where do you lose your weight from first? is it the same for everyone? |
It is DEFINITELY NOT the same for everyone. Though lots of people do lose it from their face first. Not me. Ummm, I don't even remember any more. I think it was my stomach and hips. Then my face, neck and upper body. I have since totally and completely lost my rear and hips - a miracle for sure. :)
Just hang in there. Before not too long it will be showing up elsewhere and everywhere. Keep up the good work. It's really, really worth it. You're gonna love having to buy new clothing. And it WILL happen. Good luck. |

I lose it from my bust and face first...
The last place I lose it is my thighs...I hate that becuase they are so enormous! |
I lose from my hips and stomach first. From my arms, face and inner thighs last. I am hoping to lose from my boobs pretty soon.....I am up to a D cup and they are driving me nuts! LOLOL!!

When I gain weight, it goes around my middle first and then spreads outward. So, I've lost it in reverse--and I have fat around my middle.

The first place I noticed my weight loss was my face. That was my first sign that it was really starting to happen. And then I just started noticing my pants feeling looser and my shirts being baggy on me. I really think i may be one of those people that lose it in like sheets though. A quarter inch from all over my body at a time. unfortunately, i don't think that my weight is evenly distrubuted that way. I believe I will always have a little pooch of a belly and big upper thighs. But as long as they get smaller, i don't mind too much. |

That's right...how could i forget you live in Florida when ya'll had that big Hate/Love Florida arguement a few threads back? lol!!! Yeah...I don't live sooo far away from Orangeburg. Maybe an hour!!
I see you are down another pound!! Congrats. You are catching up with me!!! Too bad I probably won't be losing many more at the moment. (started back at the gym which means i will be retaining fluids alot in my poor little sore muscles!!!) |
For me, the face is first, followed by tummy, and a little bit on the lower thighs (right above the knees). I'm at this point right now, so I don't know what will go next. Hopefully it will be my ginormous upper thigh/hip area. Dang. It makes me look like a christmas tree.

I thought I would join in. You see I was reading what Lumifan was saying about losing a sheet at a time and when I first started my weight loss - that is exactly what happened and then 2 parts of my body started to REALLY show the loss... they're my WAIST and my FACE... especially when my jawline starts making an appearance!! lol. I love it! |

My love handles are definitely shrinking, but my face pudge hasn't budged yet. I haven't noticed any of my other body parts shrinking yet, but my stomach is the only part of my body that I truly hate right now anyway. It definitely varies for each person - I would be inclined to think that you would lose weight first in the area in which you have the most fat. For some reason, a lot of us seem to lose weight in our breasts. Others just seem to lose it equally in all places and not even notice how much weight they've lost until they realize they're just... smaller.

I lost mine from the hips and thighs first and my face second. Last to go was tummy weight and boobs.

First place for me is my back fat. the roll started to disappear and now i just have a lil line from where it was. i was happy with that! I've also notices im an inch loser first before lbs.. i'll take it how ever i can get it :) cheers! |

It was hips first, then thighs, then waist and so far that's all. I really need my butt and arm flab to go away. Those are my problem areas....

Thighs then middle then shoulders - hips are still hanging on for dear life LOL

Not quite sure where I lost it first and eventually it was all over, but the place I first *noticed* losing it is in my waist & thighs -- which went from a 33/34" to a 28" this past year -- and for shirts went from L to S (or even L/XL in Boys section).

Cool thread! For me I think I lose it in my face first, because after losing only a few lbs paople start to notice. After that I would say it's my "lower belly" - the part between my waist and hips. Spare tire, I guess. After that, I'm not sure. I haven't lost any more than about 15 lbs before I've gained it all back.

I noticed I'm losing first in my waist and hips, the last place I gained weight. I hope to start losing more in my thighs. I would hate to not being able to wear a smaller pants size because of my big thighs.

thats what i would like to know, i mean ive gone down jean sizes but i cannot see it. in my eyes i look the same so i dont know where im losing all this weight from.

LoL @ the dreaded back fat :p . That's how I can tell I'm at my heaviest (right now); the horrible bra line back fat. I'd say that's first to go, then my boobs and thighs. My stomach and love handles are always the last. In fact, I don't even remember the last time I didn't have love handles. I think I must have been born with them, hehe. :dizzy:

It's weird how the weight comes off, maybe I am losing it in my thumbs or toes or something. Maybe my appendix lost 10 pounds, I dunno

I have only lost just shy of 8 pounds but I am taping everywhere too and keeping a record so I can really see where I came from and I am losing the most in my waist and upper thighs and right underneath my boobs, like where you would measure for the band size of a bra. Those are going down quite a bit. Everywhere else is a small or no change so far.

I gain all over and tend to lose a little bit from everywhere. This can be good and bad. Good because progress is being made, but bad because it seems slow when you're waiting to drop another size.

The first places I lost were my face, bust, and believe it or not...hands and feet. I had to drop a size in shoes and 2 sizes in rings. Sadly, I also had to drop a couple cups in bra sizes...and I was NOT wanting to lose weight there. Oh well. It goes where it goes. And my tummy, butt and thighs are always last to go.
