vlcdieter, what studies? Just curious because I didn't know about HCG and I went and looked it up. From the studies I saw, they said double blind studies with very low calorie diets as well as low calorie diets, there was no difference between those injected with HCG and those that weren't.

I just read this thread out of curiousity, and I'm glad to hear you are seeing your regular doc next week. I have to agree with the others that at your weight the VLC seems extreme.... and the shots, well, they do sound a little scary. I don't want to sound judgmental, but like the others, I've read many a story of people who gained all the weight back and then some on these types of plans. I do understand the necessity of them for the extremely overweight, where there is a dire urgency for the weight to drop quickly. At any rate, best of luck to you... I hope you can stay on the vlc as little time as possible.
