Talking Steel Magnolias #127

Good Evening Steel Magnolias

Lorraine went over to page 2 so be sure and go read what she wrote. It made me breathless! Grilfriend you are one buzy chick.

I got some non skid under some things today in readiness of our upcoming trip. I don't like to just leave it there for it isn't as pretty as doiles but you can't beat it for keeping things put while bumping down the road.

Hope everyone has a great evening.

Happy Saturday, Flowers!
The sun is out and it is a beautiful day! DH had one of his clients come and vacuum all of our leaves up so our yard looks nice and clean again. He is out bringing in all of the flower pots and getting ready for winter.

Tonight we are going to a harvest supper tonight with our daughter-in-law's parents. We haven't gotten together since we moved Jason and Amanda in August so we are looking forward to a nice visit. DH is doing chores for a farmer friend, this weekend, and looking for the 4 kittens while he waits for hog feeders to fill.

I have laundry going and am trying to make a dent in the piles that accumulated during the week. I wish I knew how that seems to happen every week! *sigh*

Lorraine -- I'm tired just reading about your activities! Our weather has stayed so nice that I cringe to think what winter could be like. On the other hand we have had some really mild winters so maybe we will luck out this year. Enjoy your busy day!

Maggie -- I have a mental picture of Will peeling off your siding! I'm so glad you won't be offline for any longer than it takes you to move and hook up again! We would miss you!

Have a great weekend, Flowers! I will see you all tomorrow.

Jean -- from Iowa!

Good Afternoon Steel Magnolias

It is a good day here ~ nice and cool ~ good weather for Cowboy to wash and wax the trailer. We had it all almost waxed and so he just has to finish the spots we didn't do. He got the back upper part buttoned up and hopefully the illusive leak is fixed. We have been chasing that leak for awhile now and it has gotten to be a real headache. I have been inside getting the cupboards and clsoets ready for the ride.

One thing I am really looking forward to is re-joining WW. There is a meeting close by that meets on Monday evenings. I don't do well when I don't attend meetings. Our departure date is set now for the 17th.

Have a great evening all ya'all.

Good Evening, Flowers!
Another weekend has flown by and tomorrow is Monday again! I guess Monday is better than the alternative though!

Maggie -- bell choir is "on hold" again. The powers to be do not think the church is going to be ready in December after all. We did polish the bells and ran through a very simple version of "Silent Night" just in case. Some of the die hards say they will be in the church on Christmas, even if they have to bring in lawn chairs. We'll see. You will have a busy week and that will help you to stay OP, I'm sure.

Lorraine -- are you relaxing with your feet up?

Have a marvelous Monday, Flowers!

Hi Everyone!!!

Today was nice and quiet. I stayed home and did little things to get myself ready for tomorrow. Tomorrow I am going to start working in the library at my middle child's school. The Principal was in a bind and needed someone right away, and she asked me if I would help her out and work there for the rest of the school year. If I like it and want it, I can keep it as long as I want. So I thought I am always up there anyway...why not?

Maggie: I am glad that you are not going to be off line for a long period of time. We would of missed you.

Jean: I am sorry to hear that your church might not be ready for Christmas I love listening to the bells being played at Christmas.

Well I need to get some work done to get ready for tomorrow. I hope everyone has a great Sunday night!!

Good Evening, Flowers!
It's been another nice day in the neighborhood. I can't help but wonder how much longer our luck will hold. . . . until May, I hope!

Lorraine -- I'm sure you will enjoy working in the library! Being in a school library would be the best IMO.

Maggie -- thanks for your email. I didn't have any trouble getting here so hope you will try again tonight.

Have a terrific Tuesday, Flowers! It's supposed to hit 70 here.

Good Afternoon Steel Magnolias,

It has been an incredibly nice day here! Funny thing is: the weather bug used to get its info from a nearby golf course for this area. Now it has mysteriously been changed to a mountain that is nearby but it is over 9000 feet and snow capped today. Needless to say there is such a difference in the temperatures there and here that it is no good for the area at this point. I changed the zip code to the one where we will be and there we are experiencing high tide at the westerly beaches. I got a good laugh out of it.

I got my shipment of glass today so now I have some colors to work with when we get settled in our new digs. I had previously only ordered different textured clears. I have everything packed away right now though.

Lorraine that is neat that you will be working in the library! I used to do a lot of volunteer work at the library and dearly love it. I love books and always have. I was a hard one to get up and ready for school at times because I styed up most of the night marithoning a book. I still do that...... start and finish a book in one gulp.

Jean you must have gotten in here before the outage occured. After I read your note that you got in I thought maybe it was just me ~ but then did you read Suzannes apology. Got me off the hook for being the only one after all.

Have a great evening ya'all.

Good Evening, Flowers!
It was a warm 60 degrees at 6 AM today but foggy so it felt damp and spooky out.

I've been washing glass candle cups tonight; the bug bombs made everything look foggy. I love clean glass that sparkles!

Maggie -- sounds like you are ready to move on west! Your weather bug must be a little confused! It's supposed to be nice and sunny again tomorrow . . . I don't have a very big "in between wardrobe" and I get too hot in long sleeved winter tops. Of course, there is nothing short sleeved and darker colors this time of year.

Hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday . . . HUMP DAY!

Good Morning!

Another nice warm day here. I love these days where we don't have to run the air conditioner but can have the windows open and a nice breeze floating through. Very pleasant.

Jean the out west weather bug is more to my liking. The high tide warning was fine since where we are going in the same county just few miles down the mountain is the ocean. Any given time you may find us there. Right now the temp there is 74 and probably that is what it is here. I don't do an in between wardrobe either. Any given day of the year you may find me in a white blouse. I have lots of them and that is my "uniform." Nice loose white blouses.

Have a great day!

Good Afternoon, Flowers!
It was 68 degrees this afternoon but no sunshine. That's ok though; we really need some rain before it freezes. It's supposed to hit the 70s tomorrow and Friday and that is so hard to believe after our winter last year. I love it!

Maggie -- I like my windows open and not having to run the furnace this time of year! I need to figure out what to wear tomorrow. It looks like it might be foggy and damp according to the weatherman.

Have a great Thursday, Flowers!

Good Evening.

Jean I sent you an e-mail and got it back. Is your box full? Or did you change your address and not tell me I doubt that! It even said it attempted delivery 5 times. WOW that many.

Have a good evening.

Good Evening, Flowers!
It's been another nice day in the neighborhood! One less day of winter weather to contend with!

Maggie -- I have the same address and my mailbox isn't full; I have been getting all kinds of junk advertising stuff. Yesterday it kept trying to download an infected file which in turn was trying to change my home page but the virus scan wouldn't let it. I finally called tech support and hope that the problem is solved. I had done everything that it kept telling me to do so finally shut it off completely and went to bed. So far tonight, it has been working fine. I did get your email with the mirror and red truck. Is that the one that kept coming back to you? I hope you aren't offline for very long . . . it is quiet without you in the flower patch!

Have a fantastic Friday, Flowers! I am ready for a weekend although I will be cleaning and fixing food for card club all weekend.

GOOD MORNING MAGNOLIAS

MAGGIE A Happy Thanksgiving to you! I hope you get this before you go off line. Have a great trip and we will miss you and look forward to having you back in cyberspace. As Jean said, the flower patch will be lonely without you!

JEAN I know what you mean about problems with the computer. Last week our server was down for two days and each person on the server had to be called and individually talked through a process to get back on line. It really wasn't that difficult but must have been time consuming for the server. I think they have about 2000 people on this server.
This may be our last 'good' weather day. I know I said we were going to put up the outside lights last week but it never happened. Maybe today is the day.

LORRAINE You sure are a busy lady. I also did the school library when my kids were small. I loved it. In a way I miss those days but last night I found out it is better to be a grandparent! We took Cam (8) to the Den Pack meeting. WOW! Actually it wasn't bad and they had a gentleman from a local flag store give a talk on the history of the American Flag. DH is a flag buff and really enjoyed that. The best part is afterwards we took Cam home. That's what grandparents do!

Gloria in MA....going to the cellar and root out the outside Christmas lights. Have a great weekend Flowers.

GOOD MORNING ~

Thank you ladies for the kind words. I also hope I am not without inernet for long also. Today I have everything I can do to get ready for the move. Before bed tonight is when some last things have to be done but in the meantime I can just relax. Got my shower in early and my nails polised a nice clear. I think Cowboy is going to take me out to lunch this day. Jean it wasn't that e-mail with the mirror it was another just saying what we had done during that day or some such things. That virus that was trying to get you was that horrible one that what it does is change your home page to a porno page.

Have a great Friday everyone.
