Navel weight loss recognition
 

I decided that Friday of last week was THE DAY. When I started this new lifestyle a little over 2 years ago, I decided when I returned to by lowest previous weight (178ish), I would get by belly button pierced. I've been hovering around this weight for a long while now and I can't seem to find the motivation to get lower. I'm maintaining - and a very tiny bit of weight (1-2 lbs) has shown up invited :o

So - to re-motivate myself and recognize all of the hard work done so far in losing 90 POUNDS - I got my navel pierced

For all those considering it, READ UP - there are some risks, and some things that aren't so great (like a long healing time :( and lots of aftercare :hug: ) - but I DID IT -----:carrot:

Now I'm definately one HOT CHICK :whoo: :yay:

PS - Hint, if you're squeamish do NOT look at the needle :eek:

I have a long way to go before I get it done, but I've been planning my tattoo for almost a year.

I've always had just my ears and been happy to stay with that, but if I do get washboard abs, might be nice to decorate them with a piercing!

It was doing great until I worked out later that week - it's almost 5 days later and it's still irritated from sweat. I've been advised to wear a bandage over it, but I'll have to see what I can do - I'm allergic to most adhesives :(

I don't have a flat stomach, but it looks much better than it used to. I'm lucky that my stretch marks there are the really faded white ones that blend in. If I think of stretch marks as my battle scars, then the navel piercing is the mark of victory :carrot:

Congratulations on your weight loss :) Personally, I don't ever plan to have a part of me pierced or tattooed. I don't have a problem with needles though. My dentist claims I'm one of the few that he can put in a long needle in my mouth without me flinching :)

The thoughts of getting a piercing or tattoo when I reach goal would be the biggest demotivators for me to never reach goal. I'd stay one pound over just to keep from getting stuck. LOL

Id also love to get my navel pierced after ive lost weight. I already have 11 holes in my ears, but dont have a piercing anywhere else.

Wow!!! Congrats on the navel peircing...I'd kinda like to get that done myself if I ever get my stomach looking flat again. I mean, I could always go out and do it now, but who would see it but my boyfriend?? I want the WORLD to see it!!!! But definately congrats to you on getting that done. That has to be some kind of great feeling!!!!
