  • I'm going to learn how to salsa dance! I've always thought it looked so cool, but I am way too embarassed to do it right now since I'm jiggly and out of shape - not sure I could keep up!

Here are some other things I want to do:

    - Go hiking without feeling like I'm going to pass out

    - Go kayaking and not worry about whether or not my rotund bottom will fit in the boat!

    - Take a bellydancing class

What do you all want to do? Share your ideas!
  • Put on a pair of shorts!!!!
  • I know what you mean! I haven't owned a pair of shorts in years...
  • I honestly want to be a runner....right now I have so much stuff that flaps in the wind..ha ha...I just want to be fit enough to run and enjoy the run, not feel tired after a minute...
  • i will wear the sexiest bathing suit on the dock - pretend i'm looking for a boat of a friend - and let my neighbours see my new body -sexy, sleek and HOT!!
  • TUCK IN MY SHIRT!!!!!!!!

    Jo
  • - Wear a bikini....I've never worn one, only tankini's (and sadly I didn't even wear one in high school - I was only 120 pounds! I had serious issues with my body obviously)

    - Go shopping like I used to and just grab things off the rack without worrying whether or not they'll fit

    - Enjoy playing with my boyfriend's son and biking with them without worrying if I'll be so out of breath I can't talk

    - Wear shorts

    - Wear sexy clothes to my boyfriend's soccer games....I'm sick of going and seeing all the stupid girls wearing next to nothing (and worrying what my boyfriend thinks of them)

    - Get a sexy push-up bra

I'll have to think of some more....
  • I'd like to try to climb a rock wall as well as do pullups.

    2fat4myjeans,
Don't let your weight stop you from doing things you'd want to do. You can definitely hike at your weight. One of my first "hikes" was St Mary's glacier in CO and it was a challenge at 300 lbs but I did it. I also did many other hikes in RMNP. It isn't really a matter of weight but of fitness and hiking starts with one hike, then building up as you go.

Hiking is one of my favorite things to do. I even plan to go on a hiking vacation in 8 months, 5-8 miles per day for 5 days.

I also used to take belly dancing classes, they are fun. I would highly recommend them. You don't have to show your belly when you do them.
  • I look forward to:

Mowing my lawn in a bikini top and a pair of cutoffs.

Driving around in my Jeep with just a bathing suit on.

Wearing sexy lingerie and having it fit right.

Getting a belly button ring and letting it show!
  • i'm going to be wearing shorts too ;o)
take more potraits with my family and especially my husband
  • Strip for my boyfriend!

Buy clothes that look really, really good on me!

And, quite honestly, probably be really, really annoying to everyone in my family!
  • I'll continue running, and maybe even run a marathon one day.

I'll finally learn to swim, and maybe look into kayaking, because I've always thought that looked fun.

In general, I'll participate in things instead of being afraid of looking stupid or not being able to do something because of my weight.
  • These are great! Your thoughts have totally reminded me of my own things I want to do, too... like I want to have my picture taken and not worry about whether or not I look fat! I want to walk into one of my classes and not be the fattest person in the room. I want to play frisbee and not be afraid of looking stupid, like LisaMarie mentioned.

nelie, you are right, being fat shouldn't keep me from doing things I enjoy. I just went on my first hike with my husband last week and I felt really good about myself when I finished, although right now I'll *only* go with him so I'm not embarassed by my labored breathing and needing to take a break every so often! But I really look forward to feeling better about myself and being able to hike with our friends without holding everyone back.
  • Stripping sounds good to me... I should be confident enough to shake what my momma gave me!!! (He he he)
  • Hey! I want to try stripping, too!:0 Also, I've always wanted to run a marathon and I want to look for a new exciting job outside of my home. I telecommute now, but I'd like to work with the public again. I really don't have the confidence to interview right now.
