  • They arrived this week.
  • I got mine the other day too. I ordered the cafe cookie so there wouldn't be any icing or creme filling. They are pretty tasty. I did put them in individual packages according to serving size listed on the box. I feel that way I can still enjoy an occasional treat and not have the whole box there to tempt me.
  • Make them stop! I ordered 2 boxes of the tastiest and least healthy kind available. I ate a good portion of one box over the course of a day, and put the rest in the break room at work, the one farthest away from my desk. The second box I managed to save for my DS when he visited.
  • Last time I bought them I gave them away.

  • DD brought home 3 boxes. She handed me one box and put the other 2 in the pantry. DH and I consumed most of that first box and then managed to put it away. No one has touched them since......it's been over a week. I say that is WILL POWER!!!
  • I was a brownie scout.. and I once upon a time blessed the world with Samoas, thin mints, peanut butter patties, ect lol.. in fact I was the Cookie Queen the year I did brownie scouts.. but I run from those little girls now like THEY have the plague.. I just say NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO lol
  • I know I'm too weak, there's no way I would ever buy girl scout cookies!
  • I am mad because the cookies I ordered never came and now the sales at the grocery stores are done too. I actually CAN eat just one and was looking forward to a change from my normal sweet treat.
  • There is an empty box of thin mints at a landfill somewhere with my chocolate-covered fingerprints all over it.

Thank God I don't work with kids anymore.

  • I saw the title of this thread and came in screaming where ...WHERE!! . LOL
    **regains composure to say**
I have a weakness for thin mints and I am so glad that I missed the
    sale-o-the evil cookies this year.

    LOL
  • I bought a couple of boxes to show support for the girl scouts in my neighborhood. Then I brought the cookies to work and passed them around. By the end of the day, all the cookies were gone and I had none.
  • I just say NO. As a former scout leader, I have a HUGE beef with the whole cookie sale issue. Most people think they are support the KIDS when they buy those cookies, but the amount that trickles down to the troop is a very small percentage of the cookie sales money. What you are supporting is the salaries (and they are NOT insignificant) of the national organization leaders. Most districts have at most, one or two paid people. Everyone else is volunteer. Your cookie money is paying adult salaries, not program development, camp improvement, etc. That's all fundraising done on the local VOLUNTEER level.

    JUST SAY NO!

    Okay Nancy!!!
  • You can't imagine how funny that comparison is! Usually, I'm much more the Nike slogan!
