I had a good vday but we don't celebrate it. We had leftovers for dinner, watched tv together and do what we normally do on any day. No exchange of gifts.

Angie and I exchanged cards from each other, e-mailed each other a card and exchaged cards from each other to mom and dad from our retrievers! I made macaroni and cheese from a new recipe I saw, Angie made salad. I watched American Idol, she read a book. Angie went to bed, I fell asleep in my chair. Married! ;)

I had a bit of a bad day. I went through a bad break-up in December. I've been fine, but yesterday it seemed like every one of my friends wanted to call me and whine about their own love lives (whether it was because they were long-distance and missing the person, because the person didn't treat V-Day with hearts and stars and roses, whatever). It shouldn't have affected me so much, but I could not help but feel as though they were at least lucky to have someone and I had to go home and cry.

Then I went to the gym, made a sandwich, and watched TV while decidedly ignoring the motion I have to have drafted by Friday. I guess it turned out all right.

My v-day was a normal day except for exchanging verbal "Happy Valentine's Day" to a few people. I found this photo on a labrador chat board that I also belong to. It is just priceless.

My Valentines Day?

Well, let's see. My boyfriend sent me cheap flowers with a card saying he thought it was about time he "moved onto greener pastures", so I spent my evening plotting the eminent demise of his 1973 Corvette with a friend of mine.

Other than that, I exercised, played with my dogs, went for a swim, and stayed on-plan for the day. So mreh, I guess it all comes out in the wash.

Our 4 legged babies are so cute!!! My "littlest" came to us at age 11 months, so I'll never know what he looked like as a pup, but he is cute now.

An awful, unfun disagreement with the boyfriend. He made a beautiful dinner for me- my favorite- but I was too stuck wallowing in my sadness to really enjoy it. It was a bummer.

Then you've got to join the labrador chat board. I'm really a newbie there, but it is so fun to look at the photos of everyone's dogs. I don't know if I can post the link here, but I found it by Googling Labrador Chat.

I had a fabulous valentines day!!...after a scrumptious meal that I made for dh (steak, roasted veggies, roasted sweet potatoes and pudding/fruit parfait) I went to bed (ALONE) at 8:30 when ds did and slept until he needed fed at FIVE a.m.

8 1/2 uninterrupted hours of sleep. Sheer bliss.

Married...2 kids.
