My Mammogram: Clear
Last year I found a rather large lump in my left breast. By the time I could schedule a mammogram after visiting my doctor, it was gone. The mammogram showed I had dense breasts, and since it was my first mammogram, I went in six months later for a follow-up. I just had my one-year follow-up mammogram today and it was all clear. I feel so relieved and thankful. I'm still keeping up with my goal to lose some body fat%
And I asked how much a breast weighs and if the mammogram equipment could also serve as a scale while the breast is up there. The tech couldn't tell me how much my breast weighed. Just wanted to encourage anyone to do self-exams and get an annual mammogram if you're in that age range. If you've never had one, it's not that awful of a procedure. |
that must be such a relief!!!!!
yay! |
Hi Michele!
That's GREAT news! Did they ever determine what the lump was? I'm so glad that it disappeared! Cheryl |

Actually having more fatty tissue in the breast instead of dense breasts makes it easier to read mammograms. |
