What I have found over the years is that women pick up subtle clues and also have a much better intuitive nature. Men truly need for you to TELL them what you expect!
That's EXACTLY it! My SO, luckily, is slightly more intuitive and sensitive to my moods than most guys - he says it comes from pining after me for five years (yes, he actually did. I finally came around.). But it still...so often, I tell him I'm feeling upset about something, weight-loss or otherwise, and he assumes that I'm asking him to fix it for me. So he runs off at the mouth with "Here's what you do..." and I have to tell him to shut up. So I'm trying to retrain him; reminding him that, no, honey, I don't want you to fix it. I'm perfectly capable of doing it myself. All I want you to do is listen and be understanding and commiserate. He's learning. But you really do have to bang them over the head with a clue-by-four to get them to know what you want them to do. Hints DO NOT work.

They don't get it.

They really don't get it. Sad but true. I was just saying what a good thing it is to be able to come here where people GET IT.

Sorry about his insensitivity. I don't think they get that we take those comments so personally. I guess you could always get out the ol' frying pan and teach him a lesson. LOL. :frypan: Ok, just kidding. Guys just don't get it.

:congrat: Yay for the loss!!! Way to go! I would love 2.5 lbs. to go away. LOL.

Glad we have each other here though!!!!! :cp: :grouphug:

Keep at it, ladies! OH and Michelle, I like your ticker. :D (We have the same one.)

Grats on the loss! :)

My husband is very supportive, so I'm lucky. I would have punched your husband in the arm if he said that. LOL
