Basically, the article indicates that drug amounts are not always based on patients' actual weights, but on ideal weights, out of concern for how larger amounts of these potent drugs would negatively affect patients.

This seems like it has been a cautious, conservative, understandable approach. I'm so glad studies are being done to make sure obesity is taken into account when determining therapy regimens.

Interesting. Thanks for this. Honestly I think there are about 150 reasons why being obese can make you less likely to survive cancer - just add this one to the list.
