new cover stories at US weekly & People Mag on weight loss

  • Hi--

Man, I'm sooo happy I did this!

This afternoon, I was hit with an extremely rare "MUST HAVE CHEESECAKE!" craving.

So I go to the grocery store to find a more healthier alternative dessert for tonight instead of hundreds of calories blown on cheesecake. (*I budged the dessert into my calorie budget for the day ).

I was standing in line at the grocery store and I saw this week's editions of People Magazine & US weekly-- both having cover stories on diets/exercise programs to the stars & weight loss.

I skimmed thru them briefly and then said, "Screw the dessert! I'd rather spend the bucks on those magazines for inspiration!"

I still am out some bucks, but hey, the magazines are non-caloric and they gave me quite a load of inspiration this evening!!!

  • Good for you. I wish i could have done that this morning when i decided that i needed an egg McMuffin from McDonalds. Now my stomach is paying for it.
  • I bought those two magazines, too. Lots of good information there. I thought the People Magazine articles were more pertinent to me, but US had some good info, too. I'll take inspiration wherever I can get it !
  • Inspiration is a great tool. You can't rely on it. You have to do your thing regardless of how motivated or inspired you are. But I don't sneeze at taking inspiration anywhere I can to make it easier or more enjoyable
  • I saw those magazines on the news stands too. I also was looking at the pictures on Yahoo and find those stories to be so truely inspiring. As inspiring as coming here to see how well so many people have done at reaching their goals. I wanted to pick up the magazines but didn't really have the money to spend. But boy how i would love to have them now to read and stay inspired while i'm on the elliptical when i start to feel tired and ready to stop.
