I've met my exercise goal for this week! 180 minutes at the gym! This doesn't include all the walking I do to and from places (basically, if my apartment in within 2 miles of wherever, I'm walking) and going swimming with friends and so on.
I feel so great! This morning, I had a smoothie to finish out my fresh fruit before it went bad. It had fresh strawberries, all-natural and no sugar added applesauce, silken tofu, plain soy milk and water. I snuck in 2 splendas though...eek..probably not ETL friendly, but its calorie-free, so I figured it couldn't harm much. Anyway, the smoothie was very yummy and filling. For lunch, I made some spaghetti with organic Prego and TVP. I could only eat about 2/3 of the serving I fixed myself, so I'll probably finish that for dinner. I love hummus too, Sarah. I love it on pitas! But I haven't bought any in awhile...guess I'm scared I'll gorge myself! Anyway, I'm going to the store later to pick up some more fresh fruits. Maybe peaches will be on sale....yummmm. PS. I bought some flaxseed meal the other day, and I really like it. I kinda mixed it with my tofu one night and it was rather tasty. I forgot to add it to my smoothie this morning, but I shall try another day! |
:D Roasted garlic hummus is a staple food in my house! I put it on wraps or pitas, and I'll also use it as a dressing on slaw-cut broccoli. Yummers!
Flaxseed -- I put that on frozen bananas blended with vanilla soymilk, like described in the E2L book. Very good, especially on a hot summer day. I need to go shopping... right now I'm eating weird dregs of leftover foods. Need to get some more fresh fruits and veggies... all I have are tomatoes. They're great tomatoes, but seriously... how far will that get ya? lol |
Movin' on to week 3!
