eggs?

  • Does any one here eat egg still? I am somewhat a vegitarian, rarely do I eat meat but I eat eggs. I have my own pet hens so I know they are well cared for and well fed. No rooster are involed so no killing of baby chickens I am 100 % against factory farms, eating eggs from the store encourages them, before I had my own I used to buy from a market from farmers who had small groups.
  • I'm a vegetarian as well, but I eat eggs. Since starting my diet I switched over to egg whites which have become one of my favorite things to eat with minimal calories and no fat.
  • I do eat eggs on occasion, but rarely because I have to buy them from the store and I really don't trust that the brands (even the supposed eco-friendly or cage-free or cruelty-free ones). If I had access to the eggs that you do, I would probably eat them more than I do now. For cooking purpose though, I just use an egg replacer.
  • I also have chickens (and a great rooster to hatch me new chicks in the Spring) and I love my fresh eggs. 3-4 mornings a week, I scramble me some eggs WITH the yolks! They are healthy and so nutritious and only 170 cals for both. I add me a couple of whole wheat toast and I am energized all morning. If you do not know the health difference in your own free range eggs, you have to read this article.
    Isn't it so worth it!?

  • I am lacto ovo vegetarian, and I do eat eggs.

I mainly eat egg whites/egg substitute, only because I'm on Weight Watchers and they are half the points of regular eggs.
